Question: Shouldn't the GE-side of Wild Ox be territory class? IMO the chance that it gets played as a GE would be near to 0 otherwise ...

Question: Shouldn't the GE-side of Wild Ox be territory class? IMO the chance that it gets played as a GE would be near to 0 otherwise ...

Fair question. In looking at the GE is certainly feels that way, doesn't it? But that would make it beyond the power level we want for a GE on a DaC. Similar to Leviathan and Behemoth, we like the animal side to be stronger than the GE side on this type of card.

IC. What is the reason to make them DA-cards then? Supporting Job-Theme?

Question: Shouldn't the GE-side of Wild Ox be territory class? IMO the chance that it gets played as a GE would be near to 0 otherwise ...

I definitely wouldn't say it's near 0. As long as you'll still have initiative, this can grab your favorite battle winner back that you used last turn even if you haven't put anything in reserve that this can target. Besides, DACs don't have to have a complete, constructed viable ability on each half. The flexibility to use this as either a solid EC or a last bit of extra GE value is inherently powerful. The GE side of Leviathan practically does nothing and yet the fact that it counts as a GE at face value greatly increases its potential power.

When used in a Job deck, youll find yourself getting inish due to stalemate more often than normal due to his numbers and protection, giving you a chance to use it more than you would in a faster deck like flood that doesnt need the help.  I think the GE side is a good power level, powerful ability that is harder to use and helps the deck its ment for more than others
Title: Re: Lineage of Christ (Spoilers)
Post by: Watchman on November 08, 2019, 04:29:15 PM
The only thing I would probably want changed about the GE side is to decrease the numbers so as to have a better chance to have inish to play the targeted GE.

Great article! Love the meek card idea. So are all characters and lost souls that were printed without a special ability considered to be meek for gameplay purposes? Or do they need to be printed with the meek identifier to be "meek" ?

Any card without a special ability is “meek”. A whole bunch of old cards might be useful again!

I think it means that it will be much easier to build off the starter decks for new players.  Hopefully that will allow them to Ride on Victoriously and do Awesome Things.

Great article on Land of Redemption. I am excited to see what else is in store for us with more LoC spoilers. Rob and the Elder Team appear to be addressing some of the players concerns about the health of Redemption with innovation. It is great to see the possibilities of the old sets brought back with this new set.

You will be able to make "starter decks" using all LoC cards if you wish, but LoC will not be packaged as starter or pre-constructed decks to my knowledge.

So the 300 cards are all from the LoC expansion then?

As mentioned in the LoR article today, LoC has 222 cards (same as PoC) and 18 LR (same as the past 2 sets). Due to the number of "2-in-1" cards in the set there are well over 300 "new cards".

I like to give out bits and pieces of information in a way that keeps people guessing and speculating. I apologize that isn't helpful for the few that are trying to plan their pre-sales. But it's a pretty common way that spoilers and teasers are done. You can trust anything posted to LoR to be official and run by Rob first if there are any doubts or questions.

You can choose either side to play. Since it involves music there are ways to get it back from the discard pile (which is why each side has "limit once per game"). If you're able to do that you can then play the other side.

Faith Unbowed is White/Silver

With that being a player created and the fact that this is based of Christ's genealogy, I figured silver would not get support. I could be wrong.

I think you're right but there still could be purple and green in place of any of the current ones.  Although I think green is probably unlikely because it got so much from PoC.  I would not think Clay would make the cut for Lineage of Christ but would be more of a focus once we get to Glory of Christ.

For the evil side I'm guessing we don't see orange as a main brigade and because of the themes in pale green I'm guessing that is also less likely.  So your list is probably it.

From what we've seen I think it is...

Good:
Red
White
Gold
Purple
Teal?

Evil:
Black
Brown
Gray
Gold
Crimson

Blue was my first guess too but if there's a mistake that's probably it.  Looked at the list in Matthew and there are some priests mentioned (like Zadok) so that could be it.  Also has been a while since teal got a lot of stuff so it would make sense for that reason too.

The list in Matthew starts with Abraham and you don't think we have blue for Genesis?

Also, the Zadok in Matthew is not the priest Zadok - none of them are priests, IIRC.

Aggie is correct as usual. The line of Jesus comes through Judah. Priests come through Levi.

It sure has been fun watching you folks work out which 5 good and evil you think we’ll see and why. One of the things I love about Redemption is that it’s also a learning tool. Who knew there weren’t any priests in Christ’s lineage before today? I imagine most people didn’t know that.

I’m looking forward to all the cool things we’ll learn from LoC!

I like how this set will help build upon the starter decks or even allow someone to create a simple starter deck with the "meek" sides.  And then introduce different elements by allowing certain cards to be played with SAs.

I realized last night that I forgot about teal when I was thinking of brigades yesterday.  The human line of Jesus is not priestly at all, the closest to that is Melchizedek and depending on who you ask Mel is Jesus.  That said, the priests played a crucial role so I don't think its out of the realm of possibility that teal would be one of the 5 good brigades.  We've already seen cloud in this set and the whole "priest forever" section of Hebrews could very easily lead to a logical inclusion of teal for LoC.

Question about one of the cards:

Spoiler (hover to show)

This card seems amazing!  But not sure entirely the timing of how it works.  Like if you play a 'd3 play next' and then a battle winner on the play next can you still copy the 'd3 play next'?  Or if you just play a battle winner I assume your opponent gains special initiative before you can copy?  And if your opponent plays during special initiative can you still copy your enhancement later?
Title: Re: Lineage of Christ (Spoilers)

The copy ability is a trigger that has to wait for all other abilities to complete. In your examples the first GE (D3 play next) and the battle winner and special initiative all have to complete before the copy trigger can complete.

At which point you could copy any of the cards you played?  Or just the last one?  And does the hero who played the enhancement still have to be in battle?

#Storehouse #Jacob(Israel) #FourLivingCreatures #SevenLampsofFire #EtcEtcEtc
Distressing People negates Jacob and FLC.  Only other card that works besides Storehouse and 7 Lamps'o'Fire is Tables of the Law (FoM)...maybe?  But Storehouse is the only one of those that seems like it is actually used based on deck lists that have been posted. And it was hinted that Storehouse is getting targeted by more cards in LoC.

For Hired Sword we feel like it might be more clearly worded as - "Negate an opponent’s card. Opponent may discard the negated card. If they do, discard this card after battle. If they do not, you may draw 1."

How do the Aliens SA work with it saying 'player' ?

The card becomes a captured character under the control of the chosen player. We used to write out "capture to a land of bondage" but the LoB is the default location for captured characters so spelling that out feels unnecessary.

Do you think that's something people will find confusing?
Title: Re: Lineage of Christ (Spoilers)
Post by: Watchman on December 02, 2019, 01:46:38 PM
My  :2cents: is that it can be confusing but so is wording on Claudius Lysias regarding “transfer to an opponent.”  There’s no consistent wording with these capture abilities:  Capture this character to opponent’s LoB, Capture this character, Transfer a character to an opponent. I feel that one term should be chosen, and that to be the simplest wording for newer players to easily understand, regarding this ability going forward.

What you're saying sounds more like a problem with inconsistency vs not understanding what to do with the ability as written. I agree 100% that we should be consistent.

Is there something specific about "capture to a player" that seems confusing?
Title: Re: Lineage of Christ (Spoilers)
Post by: Watchman on December 02, 2019, 03:22:13 PM
As I mentioned at the top of my reply, that wording can be confusing (at least to newer players). But like many other abilities and words it can be learned easily.  The older wording of capture to X LoB will always be the clearest wording and clearer than “capture to opponent.”  But if “capture to opponent” will be the consistent wording then I think that wording will be fine, just so long as there’s consistency.

I was more confused by the new wording and your explanation makes sense to me.  I can't see the exact wording while at work so can't comment specifically but I think the hard part is that it isn't a standard capture. i.e. "Capture a hero" as that is simple and straight forward.

What if instead of "capture to player" we said "Exile X"

"Exile" is defined as: Send a character to an opponent's Land of Bondage and treat as a Lost Soul.
"Capture" is defined as: Send a character to your Land of Bondage and treat as a Lost Soul.

Doing this will greatly shorten the wording I think but maybe doesn't make perfect sense?

For the most part Redemption doesn't eliminate old keywords through rotation or by no longer using them. In recent years we've tried to be very careful about adding new keywords so that we don't end up with too many. We've also tried to eliminate some redundancy (EX: ignore and repel or immune and protect). Adding another keyword that is a subset of capture feels like it might be a step in the opposite direction.

We also want to be very thoughtful about how clearly new keywords represent what they do. "Exile" is a term in MTG synonymous with our term "banish". I'm afraid if we used "exile" in Redemption for anything other than "remove from the game" it would be confusing for the many players that play both CCGs. "Bounce" and "reserve" are examples of recent keywords that most people find intuitive.

The capture portion of Aliens says "You may capture this card to a player." We have other cards in LoC and currently plan to use that same language anytime we want a captured card to be able to go to a Land of Bondage other than the player who is using the capture ability.

We expect to have to teach players that "capture" means - "This card becomes a captured character. Captured humans are treated as a Lost Soul. The default location for captured characters is the Land of Bondage."

Once you understand "capture" it's probably pretty clear what "You may capture this card" means on Aliens. That leave us with "to a player" potentially leaving confusion? We used similar language on Eternal Judgment last year ("give this card to a player" instead of "capture this card to a player") and I don't recall anybody asking what that means. Maybe it's our past inconsistency as the old language for "captured this card and place it in opponent's land of bondage" has become more refined?

I asked about Eternal Judgement as I thought it went to territory when it was given. :P

For me its definitely the to player part that is less intuitive.  That doesn't mean its not the best wording though.

Sean and Watchman, thank you for your feedback! How we word these captures abilities was the topic of one of our play test calls. Matthew’s Begats. Questions:

Are side battles separate battles? I’m feeling like this could create issues.

Also, what about rescue with meek hero, use MBs, play TAOS and play Ambush the City, start new battle with meek hero, us MBs, play Ambush the City, new battle with meek hero, use MBs, play Grapes of Wrath, use MBs again.

I use TAOS with Ambush the City for emphasis, but it seems like this could create a very problematic combo that would not be healthy for the game and Ambush can be recurred with battle prayer.

It is also very likely for MBs to get abused with Ahimelek. Has this been extensively tested? Maybe even if there is space to require the hero added to be matching brigade?

I am loving the card and can’t wait to try to break it...but thought I should mention those.

I like Josiah's Covenant Artifact side...

Godspeed,
Mike

Same artifact side as the current Josiah’s covenant I think!

Updated wording, same result. Shows how familiar I am with Covenants. I only use a few and they tend to repeat in different decks. But now that I have taken a better look, the enhancement side is groovy.

They’re looking good. I gotta ask, though, are there going to be other brown characters that don’t keep targeting idols?  There are already a decent amount that do so already, with current cards and some of these spoiled cards. I’d like to see some different abilities on them that are something we haven’t really seen before.

Worshipping idols and oppressing Lost Souls is pretty much what the scripture indicates the evil Judean royals did so you're going to see a lot of that.

@Gabe I get the whole idol worship related to Israelite and Judean royalty, but other abilities that didn’t involve idols for almost every one of those characters would be refreshing.

Regarding Hadad Flees, that’s a nice ability and agree that it has a lot of combo potentials. I’m trying to recall, if you bounce your sole blocker does that enh remain in battle or get discarded?  In the past certain cards specified that the enhs remain (like philly armor bearer).

Bravery of David and it's friends (Samuels Edict) are the very, very top of the power curve when it comes to enhancements. I don't think you'll see us print them as LR. We considered Zeal for the Lord for PoC and decided against it as it's similar to Bravery and Edict, though probably a half step below

Basically, if it’s a CBN battle winner and you control the condition we consider it OP on the new card face. If it has limitations, such as what it can defeat (ex:non-humans) or via a condition the opponent controls (like the LR above) then it’s probably OK.

Hadad Flees  special ability:  Interrupt the battle and bounce an evil human in battle. You may add a different Evil Character to battle.

I really like this card. The special ability on it is unique and different from most other cards.

If I ever get a copy or two of it , I look forward to using it. :)

I would expect "different" to check the card title and disallow any that matched the one that was bounced. Marcus tends to have a better grasp of these interactions though so I'm interested to hear his take.

Wow! Awesome new cards! Seems really they can turn the general meta a little (well at least in terms of how speediness resp. access can be achieved  ;)).

But I do not get the Star-Ability of Peleg, the Divider. How is it supposed to be to work - and even more: How and when is it supposed to be used???? (Since in original usage - i.e. when drawn per game rule - it would just restricted the owning player to do other Star-abilities while it only lasts until draw phase is finished ...)

If it is in your opening hand you could use it to negate your opponent's opening hand star abilities.

Some * abilities are designed to work anytime they are drawn. Ex: Topdeck a card from Reserve.

Some * abilities are designed to work only if they are drawn sometime after the first turn of the game. Ex: Discard an Enhancement. (this only works if there is one in play already)

Some * abilities are designed to work only if they are drawn in the opening 8 cards. Peleg is an example of that. As we add a second round of * abilities this year and possibly a 3rd and final round of * abilities next year it's possible that a player might have several in their opening hand. Using a card like Peleg either before or after could have a powerful effect!

Short version: It's not quite as simple as same name in theory, although I think it works out that way in all but 1 instance in practice. You definitely can't add another copy of the same card.

Long version:
Quote from: REG>Glossary>Different
When comparing attributes of cards, two cards are different if there is at least a partial difference, based on the active identity of cards on the playing surface and the face value of cards at face value. If either or both cards has more than one of the compared attribute (such as a multi-brigade card), only one of that attribute has to be different between the two cards for them to be considered different.

Quote from: REG>Glossary>Attribute
Attributes describe what a card is, not what it does. It includes identifiers, strength, toughness, brigade, card type and reference. It does not include the special ability printed on the card.

Hadad Flees is a bit outside the REG definition, but I'd say we're comparing all of the attributes of the bounced EC and the new EC.
- The bounced EC can't be different from himself, by definition.
- Any card that matched all of the attributes of the bounced EC wouldn't be different, so another copy of the same card isn't different.
- Art is not mentioned as an attribute, so even things like Pharisees and Sadducees wouldn't necessarily be different cards.

Pending a change on art being an attribute, I think that means the only instance where you can add the "same" character to battle is with the Pharisees - 2 versions have a Matthew reference and 1 has a John reference, so the one with a John reference would qualify as "different" than either of the Matthew ones.

I'm not sure where to put this question so since its related to LoC I'm putting it here.

I'm really excited that LoC will be offered with only LoC cards and that it is designed to make for a really good booster draft experience.  My questions are as follows:

1. How will this affect the cost of booster?
2. Is this going to be only multiplayer booster?

Cost will assuredly be higher. How much depends on the host. It is still likely to be the most cost effective way to get new product.

MP or 2P is up to the host. Both are viable with LoC.

It sure does. My statement was a generalization and doesn't cover all scenarios. I believe that card has gone unchanged for most of testing so I'm pretty confident our team is OK with a highly limited CBN battle winner that doesn't interrupt/negate first and only works on a character that doesn't get initiative super easy.

Here's a couple cards that feel like a throwback to PoC.

God used Jehoiada to keep the LoC going despite Athaliah's best efforts. When Jehoiada and young Joash reclaimed the kingdom the led the people to repent and turn from their idol worship. That included tearing down the house of Baal and killing this evil priest.

Spoiler (hover to show)

This next card may feel like he doesn't belong in LoC at first, but he's the son of Jehoiada. I believe he's the only known cloud Hero we haven't printed to date.

After his father's death king Joash of the LoC turned bad. When Zechariah confronted him he has the priest's son killed in the Temple courts.

If Led Astray is card 4 and we've ordered them by type then I agree that it's pretty logical that we'll see 2 more Dominants. I'm pretty sure the names of those have already been spoiled.

Awwwww...

Spoiler (hover to show)

I was really hoping this was just going to be a rare. I don't hate it because it enables Daniel decks, but I do hate that it's taking an UR spot. Just for booster alone this would be really disappointing to open.

I mentioned some time ago that a full art no-sa Daniel LS would be great for new starters. Gives starters a chase card which they don't really ever have, and it's simple enough to acquire that those who actually want multiples can get them. I would really love that! On the other hand, as an UR in a set limited to 6 URs? No thanks. Imagine down the line, if the Foretelling Angel Daniel decks ever become too powerful and consistent that it's deemed Foretelling Angel would be better off gone. Suddenly, this LS becomes worthless in both booster and constructed.

I'd much rather see just about anything else as an UR over a card you need 5+ of to squeeze any sort of value from. But maybe that's just me. :2cents:

Copying my thoughts on the rarity of the Daniel Lost Soul. This is my main comment from the Discord discussion:

To chime in again on the daniel lost soul, in my first comment I said that either its not in demand and its disappointing to open, or it is in demand and its prohibitively expensive for anyone to obtain 7. I have many people address the "disappointing to open" factor and while I think its a valid concern it is not my primary one. I dont necessarily believe that every single UR must be a sought after card. I have NOT seen a valid response to the potential future where the card is in demand. In all likelihood the 100% daniel deck is still a meme and not competitive. In that scenario, basically no one will ever be able to play it in paper because it wont be affordable to obtain 7 URs just for a silly, fun deck. That's a bad scenario. This could have been a simple, entry level Johnny deck but now that will never be possible. The other option is that it IS good, and now theres a top tier strategy that only the players with the biggest budgets can afford to play. This is also a bad scenario, and in fact is even worse.

By making this, or any card that requires so many copies, an UR, you're creating only negative scenarios. I genuinely do not know of a single good reason to put this at UR and I can think of many bad ones, as can the rest of the community as has been shown.

Frankly I'm shocked that the rarity wasnt a joke and am kind of in disbelief that the leadership team allowed such an objectively terrible idea to get this far

Is the Daniel deck really so powerful it earns an ultra meek ls..? If so would it last a season without being nerfed like coney?

Imo the reason Daniel will never be coney is because coney got straight to doms where doms are a harder stop for foretelling angel ..

Obviously speed is power in redemption because of doms..

I also have my entire collection up for sale at 700$ and 7 meek Daniel souls will go for approx what I have been offered for an entire collection ..

That said meek Daniel soul should probably be a common or rare at most disappointing for booster

Then I suppose it is possible one did have that nickname somewhere, sometime, but I am not aware of such.

Yes that’s the Shame Lost soul from RoA that’s being made into an LR for LoC. Gabe posted it as a pun in response to KtD’s post about not knowing why the UR status of that meek soul would pass the card creation team. Gabe has “shame” for allowing that to happen.

A number of the Elders have valid arguments as to why the Daniel "meek" Lost Soul should be UR related to game play, the card as a collectible and the impact on Booster Draft.  It would be unfair to misjudge their intentions or reasoning.  If blame is owed for frustrating people on both sides, please direct it at me.

It's similar to we have different versions of David where there are different brigades and the abilities focus on different roles he played during his lifetime. We have a really powerful white version of "Mary" in The Woman with Child. The LoC version of Mary and Joseph are focused on their role as the culmination of the lineage. We have future plans to make a version of both Mary and Joseph (plus associated cards) that tie more closely to the N.T. era.

I am curious if David’s star ability should be worded as “Play a meek hero from reserve”

Currently it says “Play a Hero as meek from reserve” which seems like you would be able to play any Hero - if it has a meek side, it would be played as meek, but if not it would fall into the category where you do as much as possible.  You could play a Hero, it would just not be as meek.

Thoughts?

On the new Bethlehem, why is Luke in parenthesis?

To help clarify that both Ruth and Luke are adjectives, instead of one of them being just the named character.

If you remove the parentheses, there's an argument that whichever comes first (Ruth, in this case) is a noun and only refers to the named character. If we wanted it to work that way, the single character would probably come last (Luke Heroes and Ruth), but we don't want to just rely on that logic.

When sets were 93-129 cards we started trying to spoil all of them before going to print. We started out with that mindset for LoC but we've realized that is way too much for a set of 258 cards. Some of the cards will still be a surprise when you open the packs for the first time.

Ambushed Moabites
"Negate discard abilities on your evil cards.  Each upkeep, you must discard another evil O.T. human in territory."

Reg Entry for "Your"
Several cards in Redemption® refer to cards that are “your” cards (e.g., your priest, your
Heroes, your demons, your warrior class Evil Character). For a card to be considered “your”
card, you must be the owner of the card as well as have control of the card. “Your” ability is
an ability on “your” card.

How does Ambushed Moabites work?  The way I'm reading "your" I would presume that "you" in the second sentence in interpretted the same as "your" but the placing in another player's territory makes it so that that player does not satisfy the requirements for "your" and neither does the owner of the card.

Help, my brain is being ambushed by rules and definitions.
Title: Re: Lineage of Christ (Spoilers)
Post by: Watchman on January 28, 2020, 02:52:22 PM
@Sean keep in mind that this is a Fool card, so it’s supposed to go from your deck/hand to your opponent’s territory. The ability is designed to cause your opponent havoc, which is why it’s worded to target “your” cards. Once it’s given to your opp’s territory it becomes “his” card in effect, so the ability is supposed to target the controller of that card. It’s the same deal with Doomed Canaanites and Foolish Edomites.
Title: Re: Lineage of Christ (Spoilers)
Post by: Sean on January 28, 2020, 03:17:13 PM
I understand the intent but there are 2 requirements for 'your'.  The 1st one is to own the card and the 2nd one is to control the card.  Once placed into the opponent's territory those two requirements are no longer met.
Title: Re: Lineage of Christ (Spoilers)
Post by: 777Godspeed on January 28, 2020, 03:40:06 PM
You made me go digging into the REG, Sean (not a bad thing) and this is what I found: (bolded for reference)
Take and Give
How to Play
● A take effect allows a player to gain control of cards they do not currently control. A give effect allows a player
to give control of cards they control to another player.

● Cards that are targeted by a take or give effect are moved from their previous location and put in a location the
player receiving the cards controls. Permanent control of the taken or given cards transfers to the player
receiving the cards.

● A take or give effect is permanent, unless a duration is specified. If a duration is specified, when the duration is
reached the Permanent Controller List is updated.
● A take or give effect targets the cards that are to be taken or given.
● Unless otherwise specified, targets must be in play.
● Unless otherwise specified, targets are moved to the hand of the player gaining control of the cards.
● All take and give effects are instant.
Special Conditions
● A take or give effect takes precedence over the “cards are only in their owner’s hands” aspect of face value.
That aspect of face value is suspended while the receiving player maintains control of the cards. All other
aspects of face value remain intact.

and

Control
When a player controls a card, that player may use the card as if it is their own, even if it is
not.
There are two types of control: Temporary Control and Permanent Control.
Cards in decks, Reserves, discard piles, and banish piles are not controlled by any player.
Cards that a player controls that are face down on the playing surface are only controlled as
their known attributes. Cards that a player controls in hand are only controlled as cards.

The "Your" definition is pretty specific, but the * ability "Gives" the card to your opponent and they now "Control" it, thus it works. There may be a little more involved, but this is what I found

Godspeed,
Mike
Title: Re: Lineage of Christ (Spoilers)
Post by: RedemptionAggie on January 28, 2020, 03:40:43 PM
Ambushed Moabites looks at who owns and controls the evil cards with discard abilities, not necessarily at itself. It is not owned and controlled by the same player, so it doesn't negate itself. Unless you put it in your territory, in which case it does negate itself.

"You" is always read from the perspective of who controls the card and doesn't care about ownership.
Title: Re: Lineage of Christ (Spoilers)
Post by: Sean on January 28, 2020, 04:00:03 PM
Thanks Aggie but I'm still not seeing how the 1st sentence of the special ability is allowed to do anything based on the definition of 'your'.  I'm good with Mike's explanation if it is correct but it also would contradict the definition of 'your' if it is correct.
Title: Re: Lineage of Christ (Spoilers)
Post by: RedemptionAggie on January 28, 2020, 04:07:13 PM
Cards are always read from the perspective of the controller. When Ambushed Moabites activates, it checks all evil cards on the table to see which are "yours" (the controller's) and negates any discard abilities on them. When new evil cards are played, Ambushed Moabites checks to see if they are "yours" (the controller's)and negates any discard abilities on them.

Ambushed Moabites fails the "yours" check UNLESS the owner puts in their own territory, in which case it does negate itself. But in general, it only cares who controls it, not who owns it. "Your" checks the target card(s), not the card on which it is on.

The main difference between the super and regular packs is that you get an extra rare so in theory it is easier to get a complete set with the super packs than with the regular ones.  You have the same number of UR no matter which pack you choose.

I reserve the right to be wrong because math.

"Regular" LoC Box includes for $120 a Box:

2 URs
22 Rares
96 Commons
240 "Older Cards"

"Super" LoC Box includes for $192 a Box:

2 URs
46 Rares
192 Commons
Title: Re: Lineage of Christ (Spoilers)
Post by: RedemptionAggie on February 17, 2020, 03:40:14 PM
3 regular display boxes is 72 packs, but 6 are URs, so you'd get 66 rares. With 72 rares in the set, it's impossible to complete the set with just 3 regular display boxes.

2 super display boxes is 48 packs with 2 rare slots each and 4 URs, so you'd get 92 rares (96 minus the 4 URs). So there's a decent chance to get all of the Rares in 2 super display boxes.

@Crashfach - Unless I missed something, I think the super packs have 8 commons per pack which would come out to 192 commons in a box.

That is correct, sorry too quick of math.

I remember there being discussion about I/J cards being in the regular LoC packs and that certain dominants would not be included, while others might be. Can we please get the official word on which dominants from I/J will be included in these packs?

Thanks
