I was browsing the Playstation Network Store when The Force pulled my eyes to this demo. Instantly I started the download. After the download was complete, I fired it up. As my master instructed, I went to kill a Jedi who was attacking and Imperial Shipyard. With orders that the Emperor must not know of my existence, I had to fight Imperials and Rebels alike. Using Force Grip, Push, Lightning, and my trusty Lightsaber I slayed my foes mercilessly. Throwing and Pushing them out of my way, only to hear the crunch of bones and pleas for me to have mercy. After destroying an AT-ST by zapping it with Lightning and then using a combo of Saber moves, the demo ended leaving me with a strange want... for the Force.
Seriously, to anyone who has access to download this demo.... DO IT!

it looks cool but the controls are a tad wonky cause of the odd targeting system that the game uses but oh well ill still buy it :)

vaders apprentice looks so much cooler in soul calibur 4.
nonetheless, i'll still get it because of how cool he is in sc4. hopefully he'll be cool in this one too.

i hope its on wii, i've never really bought any star wars games but this game looks really sweet. I was at my friends house and they were playing the demo. Its like God of War + Incredibly Force Power + Star Wars.

exactly, i pay $250 dollars for fun not graphics, if you want good graphics and somewhat okay games that are more realistic than fun pay 400/600 dolars for a ps3

Im still EXTREMELY confused why Lucasarts decided to neglect us PC users... look at all the other games they've made for PC. What happened Lucasarts? :'(

PC = Piracy, PC = high end machine to run it, PC = they don't get money from you buying a console to play it.

I don't know but it seems like this game(i've played the demo) would be hard to make it fun to play on the computer. It would just be too easy because of the mouse and numbers.

Still, they've made like, almost EVERY other game for consols on PC as well. Why randomly decide to make such an AWESOME looking game, but leave us PC gamers in the dust. :-\
Though, I may be a little extra biased since I have this XPS here that could run the game with ease. :D

Thats different though... any SW game that was released for both consol and PC were released simultaneously if I'm not mistaken.
Btw... Im still wondering if H3 will ever make it to PC... it'll probably be another 5 years and ONLY for the OS they JUST released and havent worked all the bugs out of.

Really? Consoles are cheaper then my $2,000+ computer? You sure? :D
Besides, PC's give a DIFFERENT gaming value I say. Much better for FPS thanks to the precision of the mouse.

Besides, I like my monthly subscriptions and new challenges and playing adventure games, MMOs, etc...only FFXI was on PS2 as an MMO, the rest are console games, period, that's why I build beasts of computers to last me 5+ years ;D

Amen! This beast should last me 4-5 years with mabye one upgrade along the way. I know the 1tb hard drive will last me.

i wasnt that impressed with the demo of force unleashed. in preview screenshots of the game, the graphics looked PHENOMENAL (with the exception of the wii version), which was a major selling point for me. however, when sitting down with the demo for the xbox 360 version, they seemed less than breathtaking. maybe i was playina a wii version port? :D the controls also leave something to be desired.

As for ST:TFU, I won't be buying it. There is a total of 10 Levels and Fallout 3 is coming out. And Far Cry 2. And Socom: Confrontation. I just wanted to share how fun the demo was.

the sheer fact that the wii is stuck at 480p alone hurts the graphics... a LOT.

I agree with Soundman and you, Wii has better games for people who don't want to play gore blood hack slash swear and other bad things type of games, thats what 360 and PS3 are for

The reason the Ps3 has a blue-ray is because blue-ray is simply better than DVD/HD-DVD. The Ps3 is more of a computer than it is a console with the things that you can do with it. Blu-ray holds a ton of more of information than a DVD.
Can the Ps3 run Linix/Unix/Windows? You bet. Its more diverse than an Xbox or a Wii.
I will agree that the games right now are all found on the 360 but in time the Ps3 will pull ahead.
Sony builds their systems to last 10 years and come out with things for them even when they are outdated so people who can't upgrade their systems can still play games like the rest of us.
Ask that from Nintendo and Microsoft. When the 360 came out in a matter of months, if not weeks, the originol Xbox was obsolete.
The only thing I can see the Wii beating out all the other systems is originality.

The Ps3, IMHO, is the middle ground. Has nice online play, decent originality (Six-Axis, Blu-ray), and fun games.

I'm pretty sure with 600 dollars + the 100 or so you'd fork out for extra controlers, blue ray discs etc I could get a whole new computer, let alone an upgrade.

Also, one awesome advantage to the PC over other consoles....
Today I discovered I can force my graphics cards to override the previous 3D settings on any program, and replace em with new ones.
Example, I ran my the original Unreal game at 1440x900 (my monitors max resolution), 32xQ anti-Aliasing and 16x Antisotropy. Aside from low quality textures, cheesy animations, and low polygon models, the game looks great now.
Thats one area the PC seriously excells over consoles, you all lack the smoothness powers of Anti-Aliasing. ;D

Please explain why they said they wouldn't make Crysis for the consoles? They said the PC was the only system powerful enough to run it.

wow, surprising how this topic quickly turned from star wars to a console flame war...:)
to put it bluntly, every system caters to its own audience. each company knows this, and capitilizes on those certain niche markets and franchises. it really doesnt make any system any better than the other in terms of gameplay, because certain people only like certain games.
in terms of sales, though, thats a different story...
from what i see going through my store on a daily basis (and reading our companies quarterly earnings statements), right now the wii is having strong sales in terms of hardware and software. however, in the long run, xbox 360 still has a huge marginal lead over both sony and nintendo because it came out a year earlier than both of the other systems, thus it has a larger installed base than either the ps3 or wii.
