If you meant Halo 3... you seriously need to learn something about Game Developers.
Halo = Bungie/Microsoft.
Portal = Valve.

Technically, Narbacular Drop was the original.

Very. Just get the whole Orange Box while your at it. :P
-
Portal is excellent. And I don't think any amount of Portal-like Flash gaming can make up for having GlaDoS in the game.

Yeah, but the whole problem is the whole M factor.
-
that matters?
-
To younger people. Yes.
-
At a campus concert my friend Zack covered the song from Portal on his synth/vochorder.
-
Don't need the Orange Box. Just install Steam and d/l the game by itself. Saves all that M-rating hassle.
-
that matters?
Yeah, my mom doesnt like them + i have a youger brother. :)

Yes, but if you look at the thread, he was asking if there were other ways to get it on 360 other than the Orange Box, because HL2 bears an M rating that applies to the whole box.
-
As does Team Fortress 2
-
portal is indeed downloadable via xbox live arcarde. not a bad deal either, as there are achievements plus bonus missions to play.

If you meant Halo 3... you seriously need to learn something about Game Developers.
Halo = Bungie/Microsoft.
Portal = Valve.
The distinction goes deeper:
Portal= A total conversion for the bar-none best game ever made, period.
Halo= Another console staple that would probobly rank a solid 65% if it were converted to the PC. A boring, linear shooter.
-Ross
-
FWIW, the PC conversion got a lot of 8s and 9s. But I think it's mostly from the hype.

I doubt hardcore PC gamers are the people giving it high ratings. It is probably console gamers who are glad they have another way to play their favorite game.
-
There are no hardcore PC gamers left in the market. They're all playing WoW, and the other companies are fighting over the 11 people left in the world who aren't playing either that or Starcraft.

AHEM
*looks at $2000 computer, looks at arsenal of FPS games which I cannot list, sees no WoW amongst them*
;)
There are quite a few Hardcore PC gamers out there..... one game comes to mind to prove my point. Crysis: Warhead was one of the better selling games of 2008 if I'm not mistaken...
-
Okay, yes, thank you for being hyper-literal.
-
Note the. ;)
:P
-
not to mention the game that starts with H ends with alo and there isn't much in between
(If I get warned for that then so should Lambo)
-
Hardcore and PC shouldn't be used in the same sentence. Unless it is used as "hardcore wreckage" in which case, the PC is getting the wreckage. Macs ftw.
-
I'm sorry, are you coming into this thread and pronouncing a Macintosh as a superior gaming machine to a PC?

... photoshop...
-
Wait... what's wrong with MarbleBlast Gold?
I think the old boat anchor ad was better, but can't post due to a bit of foul language. But what's with the "...photoshop..."? It's been on OS X for years.
-
Is that a game you play frequently?
-
No o_O, I just being sarcastic. It comes free with most Macs.
[edit] Ah, I found a clean version of the boat anchor ad:
