Title: MyBrute Tournament II - JSB23i WINS!
Post by: wk4c on May 06, 2009, 01:55:45 PM: Before we create a tournament, I would like for everyone to sign up and give a list of up to 4 brutes they would like to enter, listed by preference.

For example:

wk4c
1. wk4c
2. wk4c2
3. wk4c3
4. wk4c4

If you have less than 4 brutes you would like to enter, then just list as many as you have. Take note not all of your brutes will be entered(most likely), so please make your order of brutes carefully.

Once the deadline is reached(May 16th), a format will be set up and we'll start the tournament. This gives everyone a week to make a decision and then sign up.

lightninja7(armor, awesome triple knives that make opponent drop weapons, and master of arms)
112(dog and hammer)

These are the people that I predict will be the best once I level them up. I should be able to get them to level 5-6, maybe 7 if I'm lucky. :)

Nah, I think it'd be better to just let him use his own...I think we can work something out as far as filling in the tournament. But thanks for offering! :)

Not quite sure. I was thinking about doing random matchups instead of rank-based, but I'd need everyone's opinions first.

if Arromir signs up four, you'll have 3 groups of 16... not sure how that's gonna work out tournament wise, unless you make the last one round robin type thing, which could run into problems

lol, I'm actually thinking about changing the format. (Probably/ will)

And I'm working out a schedule for the 48 brutes expected. I'll have something figured out by tomorrow. :)

Okay, so how about this?

First round:
48 goes to 24(No byes)

Second Round:
22 goes to 11(2 byes)

Third Round:
12 goes to 6(1 Bye)

Fourth Round:
6 goes to 4(No byes)

A total of just 3 bies would easily work that out. Eeryone okay with byes? The lowest seed would recieve them.

Post by: Captain Kirk on May 13, 2009, 02:29:43 AM: Byes should be randomized, not to the lowest seed. Otherwise, the person who is just above the bye-cut will have to play the highest seed left instead of one of the brutes that has a bye in your format.

You would just go to a random number generator website and enter the number of remaining brutes and that number determines the bye.

Makes sense, but it's all going to be randomized again, so don't worry. You also won't be facing your own brutes unless they all make it to the semi-finals.;)

Naw, I'll let it pass. I also gave Lambo the permission to attack his counterparts. I only did this to speed up the tournament.

Additional rule:
If you want to attack the Brute above you, you must first request it from me. In some circumstances, I will allow it. (aka the round is taking too long, etc.)

It's not a big deal, I just wanted to make it go a little bit more neatly, so I made the rule that the person on top attacks the person below.
