Title: Microsoft reverses ‘always-on’ internet, used game policies for Xbox One
Post by: Master KChief on June 20, 2013, 03:15:37 AM
Boom. Xbox just became number one again.

They probably just did the always online thing for the publicity. After Sim City, they should have known better.

That's exactly what I was thinking, they did it for the publicity. If it looks horrible on paper, what makes them think it would possibly look good to the masses?

Either way, it backfired...PS4 preorders are crushing Xbox One preorders.

I am so not surprised, at all.

The causality of this is that really awesome family share program they had. The only real problem with what they were doing was the amount of times between checkins but as usual the gamers couldn't handle change and got everything cancelled no matter how much it benefited them.

I'm still handing Sony my money just b\c of KH:III, That is the game as Korunks described as "I don't Care, Here's my $$"

P.S. Deck's shuffled? Do the Marty!

Marti* :P And I have no idea who you are, but it wonderful that "The Marti" is being spread to the masses, even after my retirement.

I see no reason at all to buy an Xbox One. Any exclusives will generally also be on PC later (and PC is better anyway) and Microsoft screws everything over anyway.

I'm planning to get a PS4 eventually, and my roommates are saving up fir a Wii U. That's pretty much the extent of consoles in my future.

My playgroup will never let "The Marti" fade away. ;)

That's just not true, Halo hasn't been on PC since the first one, Gears of War has never been on PC, nor has Forza, or most of their other exclusives.

None of the games you've listed are ones I care the slightest about, which is why my opinion is the way it is. :P

The only reason I still have my 360 is because of the Fable games (which at least one of is already on PC) so the only thing that might make me consider picking up a One is if Fable 4 (or some equally epic game) comes out for it with no indications that they're making a PC port.

Okay but you said any exclusives will be on PC anyway, and looking at the last generations exclusives less than 10% of them make it to PC ever.

I should have qualified the statement with "the exclusives I care about" because that's all I know, lol. My apologies for not being clear enough.

Yeah, I do worry that Microsoft already shot itself in the foot with this whole debacle. Will people buy the Xbox One? Of course, but I think the PS4 will continue to blow it out of the water.

Sincerely,
Someone who doesn't really care cause she's a PC gamer but she keeps up with news anyway.

They should call it the Xbox 180 now.

P.S.S. I'm with Korunks play group with the Angel/Panic Demon Deck
And here I thought megamanlan was the only one that used mono-angels anymore. :P

They should call it the Xbox 180 now.
I see what you did there. ;)
