PBE ftw!!!

Loved her when I tried her. She seems like the kind of champion that you have to take a while to master but when you do good luck losing.

Yes, I'm awake that I'm necroing. Thanks, annoying red box.
If anyone still plays this game, I could use some tips (and also if anyone wants credit for inviting me via friend rewards program or whatever).
Thanks, Mike

I'm not surprised.  :o No offense.

I'm also around to play. If you are lower level I have a smurf account. If you are higher then I'm also friends with doominbottle so we could set something up, yet I don't think I've had a chance to play with him yet.

Karma is like a balanced character, only significantly stronger, in a game where 109 champions are overpowered.

Also it turns out he was in platinum 1 and not diamond 1. I don't know how lol ranking works. But from my understanding, that's significantly less competitive.

Karma is actually somewhat underpowered. Escpecially if you are playing her as an ADC. That is quite a bit less surprising but still quite good.

I've also got a smurf account, ID: AP Lizard Wizard.

So I don't have to pull my friends up into high elo play. I just use less carryish champs for it.

.... I do that on my level 30.... Does that make me a bad person?

Easily afforded good champs:
Garen is a fairly easy champ to use for people who like tankier people. Annie is great for people who prefer damage dealers via spells. Master yi is great for speed fighters.

Tips:
Towers will auto target you if you hit a champion while in range.

Don't be afriad to run away or teleport back to base. Better to run then give XP and Gold by dying.

Have fun. I know this seems silly to say but in a team game when you are the lowest level and keep dying it can get frustrating. Remember you're playing for fun and do what you can to catch up but don't get mad. (I have a roomie who does this.... T_T; He is a good player but he gets mad and suddenly he becomes a bad player).

Don't buy runes till you can get 3rd tier runes. You are better to save for the best ones or more correctly a champ you enjoy (and maybe are half-way decent at playing).

Use the free rotation to try new champions even if you have one you're good with. You just might find one you are better with. (Switching from Shaco to Darius thanks to free rotate. I still use both, and love both).

Don't be afraid to ask questions if you don't understand something.

Look up guides on builds for champions(Mobafire has a ton. Googling *champ name* guide will find them). This gives you an edge knowing which ability will be most benefitial to max first and what items will be helpful in most situations.

Many abilities such as flash and moves that dash, teleport, or otherwise move you CAN go over most walls. Learn this trick early, it will give you an advantage offensive or defensively.

Ignore trolls. Seriously there are some of them that take themselves and the game too seriously.

As you learn play Bot games. Start at beginner, when you find that easy go to intermediate, and once you are competant there grab some friends and head for your first PVP!

Yes.

I second that, all three of those champions are really strong right now, and one of them (Yi) is even played at the professional level.

Don't be afriad to run away or teleport back to base. Better to run then give XP and Gold by dying.
This. A thousand times this. Knowing when to run, and when to fight is what separates bad players from good players.

Look up guides on builds for champions(Mobafire has a ton. Googling *champ name* guide will find them). This gives you an edge knowing which ability will be most benefitial to max first and what items will be helpful in most situations.
I'd suggest using Lolking or Solomid over Mobafire, mainly because the guides on the other two sites are written by more skilled players (generally) and are subject to a higher degree of quality control. That being said, use your brain a little, if you're getting wrecked by a physical champion, but the guide tells you to buy magic resist, ignore it and buy armor instead.

I agree solomid.net is the best. Find featured guides. Those are usually done by the members by TSM.

On another note, Yi was used professionally as AP Yi but with this last nerf it will be interesting to see if they continue to play him.

On the contrary I would avoid playing Bot games as much as possible because they are so different from how a real person would play that they give you a false sense of play and when you start playing PvP you'll be with higher level people and less experience because it is a different type of play.

Here are the champs you should buy early if you want a feel for each lane:

Top: Garen (Very standard with good tool kit and has good dps for his tankyness)
Mid: Lux (Good damage. ALL Skill shots so it teaches you how to use them. Best to master them early on.) Another good choice is Veigar. He has a great skill set and a good but not ridiculous skill level.
ADC: Ashe (Easy to play, good damage, fairly safe.)
Support: Soraka (VERY Easy and conservative.) If you want to go more aggressive and looking for higher skill level go Alistar.
Jungler: I only recommend this when you hit Level 20 because of runes and masteries. Xin Chao or Udyr are very standard jungles that can apply pressure to lanes and are decent at clearing jungle camps.

MAJOR POINT: FARM When you are farming minions be absolutely certain that you are last hitting. You do not want to push the lane too early. Then you are very vulnerable to ganks. Also last hitting assures more kills which equals more gold.

Come back when you start team fighting.

ADC: Ashe (Easy to play, good damage, fairly safe.)
Disagree, Ashe is one of the hardest ADCs to play properly. Since she has no repositioning skills, you need to be incredibly mindful of positioning, her skill set is intended for kiting (a rather difficult concept), and he ult is slow moving skill shot.

I think the easiest ADC to learn is Ezreal, his E makes him a really safe pick, his Q is a good intro to skill shots, and his ult gives him global presence, but is also really easy to use in lane.

All you have to do with her ult is catch a person out with it so you can initiate. And I guess if you can't kite well then you shouldn't be ADCing because that is huge for almost any ADC. Except maybe for Ez. So yeah I would agree Ez is easier in general but Ashe is cheaper so it's better for a newer person.

I saw a guy playing Veigar today... he went 0-21-0 or something. Not even feeding. He was just that bad. Annie seems to be working out really nicely except against Miss Fortune. So OP.

Another question: What lane should I want to be playing most of the time? I usually run bottom and then gank a lot middle. No jungling yet.(I'm too much of a noob).

Veigar is good, he just needs to be played correctly.

To your question: If you enjoy ganking like that then you should jungle when you hit level twenty. Otherwise the most ganky lane is probably mid. You push out your lane and then gank.

Support is the slave role. You'd be the team slave. Top is noob. If you jungle, you spend half the game playing against a computer before having your team yell at you because they suck and need a scape goat.

The only respectable role is mid. I didn't even mention adc because it's that boring.

Source: I played an additional game of lol.

Let me give you advice from someone who is still relatively new and was very frustrated from advice like the ones above and almost stopped playing. Now it's pretty much my favorite game and I can't remember the last time I was negative.  :)

Don't use anything but a bruiser for your first little while. They can take and give damage pretty well, so you're not going to get killed in 1 second by getting caught out of place with a mid ap carry or something like that. The first champ I got good with is Darius. Another good one is Olaf. Just get used to farming and how the game works without having to worry about carrying the team. Playing top bruiser means you won't have to carry, and you won't die as much if you try and play smart.

Just have fun and don't play Ash. Just don't. She was the first champ I bought and I still have to be always paying close attention when I use her. If you really want to play an adc, Tristana is great.  :)

EDIT: So to answer your question I found top the easiest as a n00b. And Veigar is very, very hard because you have to outfarm to beat the other mid. Don't use him yet, imo.  :)
As a national champion, I support ReyZen deck pouches.
