In Development... The Rebel Planet: Chapter One: Orion
Anyone hear about the new game coming out in September called Orian? It's about a guy, before the time of the flood, named Orian.
Discreption
Before the Great Flood of Noah, thousands of years passed of which we know virtually nothing. Civilizations may have risen and fallen - technologies discovered and lost. What little knowledge that has come down to us through the early chapters of Genesis reveals a world very different than our own. Myth and legend also point to an ancient past rich with history.
Enter the world of The Rebel Planet. Rebel Planet Creations has taken this mysterious world before the Flood and has created an imaginative fantasy world where the truth of Scripture is our foundation and theme, but only the mindsā imagination our limit in telling the ancient tale of redemption and faith.

The smaller areas (especially the snowy village) look really nice, but the more wide open areas (the fortress) look like a 5-year old was having a boring day in kindergarten and decided to draw a picture that he ended up not liking.
The premise is awesome, but I haven't seen anything about the execution that impresses me.
-
oh, i can't wait for it. It's really detailed. but your right, the smaller areas have more detail them the larger areas.
-
hmm... you think THAT is really detailed, take a look at Crysis...
*edit* i watched the little trailer for TRP and the video does a slightly better job of showcasing the graphics.

yes, the crysis ones are in-game screenshots :P
However, Rebel Planet may have some potential as long as the gameplay is well done. Also, they may improve the graphics even more before they release it. Yes, i prefer if a game has awesome graphics but gameplay is truely what matters. Deus Ex is a perfect example: the graphics are a little below par, but the gameplay is exceptionally good.
One graphical improvement the game could seriously use is dynamic shadows. If they can get reflections on the water to look decient, they can at least get some realistic shadows. For me, lack of real shadows majorly kills the environment, it makes it look kinda fake... this picture shows what i mean: http://rebelplanetcreations.com/images/rsgallery/display/screenshot_032-00001.jpg.jpg
where'd his shadow go? ???
Shall be interesting to see how this game turns out
*edit* also... to anyone who says a small team cant produce good graphics, i suggest you check out Penumbra Overture: Episode One... a team of less then ten people, four i believe, made it.

I know this topic is old, but I wanted to bring it up again because the game should be released soon. Also, all the links there are 404ed. Here is the correct link:

Now that i've played a fare share of AAA games on the PC.... those graphics look decidedly "meh."

-
They better do a complete overhaul on those graphics, or have some INCREDIBLE gameplay if this is to be installed on my machine.

Don't hold your breath.
Platform: PC
Genre: Fantasy Action RPG
Release Date: 2010
-
Also it still says Copyright 2007 at the bottom, meaning I don't think they've touched the site since then.
-
Well, it obviously has been changed since the due out date keeps getting farther out. ;)
-
You know, I can't wait until I get to Heaven and I can talk to Adam and Enoch and Noah and all those fine old fellows and ask them what it was like back then. I'd like to know more about the Egyptians, too. So many mysteries!
