Finally got my 360, now I need a bit of help picking out some games.
Right now I have H2, H3 (yes, I'll be getting XBL in the near future) and NBA 2K9.
I'm not a huge gamer, (I mostly enjoy games where the multi-player is sweet), but I would like to get one game that's got a really great single player mode preferably with some replay-ability as well.
I was considering getting Mirror's Edge as that seemed like the type of game I want to get, but I decided to wait and see if there's anything similar to that but with more weapons. If a game you recommend has the M rating, please PM me with that suggestion.
Another question I have is if the wireless adapter works well for online play or if there's a lot of lag? My room doesn't have an internet jack so I would need to run a hardline down the hall from the living room to my room unless I get the wireless adapter.
Thanks

Get Mass Effect it is one of the best games I have ever played. It has one of the best stories and offers huge amounts of Replay value, its also a top winner and a Third Person Shooter yay for shooters! (anouther good game is Oblivion) If you are also looking for some other cheap games some old Xbox compat you should get are Morrowind Gotye and Knights of the Old Republic both of which are award winners and loads of fun.
Note that all the games I posted are under $25! (when found at gamestop) yay for bargins!

You're an assassin and you kill people.
but if you kill innocents you get scolded... so it's not totally bad. but you can grab a horse and run with it. or climb buildings. it's very interactive

I have an Xbox 360 so I pretty much have played most of the games mentioned. I seem to prefer the war games: Call of Duty series and GRAW 1 & 2. I owned Mirrors Edge for like 2 and 1/2 weeks, dont buy unless it is cheap. Mirrors Edge has awesome gameplay but an UBERSHORT!!!! (emphasis on short) storyline. It is a good game to rent. Assassins Creed is good because even after you beat the game you can go back to the chapters you enjoyed (or to get stuff that you skipped over). Assassins Creed has great gameplay! If you want games to play with your friends: Guitar Hero series and the Rock Band series. There are usually more people to compete with on Guitar Hero but Rock Band (in my opinion) has better songs. I have also heard that Fable II and Fallout 3 are also good.
Hope that helped,
TJ

LOL at the irony.

Once again, please refrain from suggesting or commenting on M rated games. Please use PM to convey your opinions of those games.

I'll mention Halo and Call of Duty just because it seems to be required Xbox owners like one or both of those games.
I'd suggest Civilization Revolutions. If you have played the Civ series before, you know about the addicting gameplay, but if you haven't, Civ is basically a turn-based strategy game where you guide a fledgling nation through development into a superpower(hopefully). You intereact with other foreign powers in war and diplomacy, research Technologies, and build units and buildings in your cities. I'd highly recommend it if you enjoy strategy games.

Civ Rev is fun but imo id rather spend $50 some where else when a far better version is avalable on PC for less then $20.
