Post by: dudester21397 on February 16, 2009, 10:01:18 PM

GP is a sort of rip off of guitar hero.
but GP is for praising God which is a huge +

Its basicly the EXACT same game.

Plastic Guitar with Buttons, you use a clunky "pick" switch to play the notes, Play the "notes" as they fall down the screen.

The main three differences are as follows.

A No ability to gain more songs. Songs are being uploaded on XBOX live all the time, yet GP didn't include any feature to add in songs. This didn't have to be a big share thing like XBOX live but even just a simple song maker in there woulda helped it be better.

B Note timing. Every note I've played in Gh seems to be spot on. Certain areas in songs in GP seem to be a bit off.

C Song choice. Yes some songs (Jesus Freak, petra) are spot on but many are lacking (Toby mac). If they looked around for what was good rather than popular we would probably have showbread, Theocracy, etc on there. GH always has excellent songs, even if you've never heard them before, which is free publicity for unheard of bands.

Thats my biggest issues with it. It could be a really great game, instead its an ok game thats a rip off of an awesome game. (E.g. Bibleopoly)

Actually thats not true you can go in the system and put songs on there (althought the encoding they have is pure crap and is hard to wade through) I know this because my sisters friend got it and me and my sister's friends brother (whew what a mouthful) stayed up all night, hacked it....MCR/AFI anyone?

Hacking a game takes a lot of time and not many people can do it on their own. Downloading from Xbox Live is simple and requires almost no time.

yeah but you don't get all the songs you want(although nothing like that matters to me I hacked GH for Xbox to  ;D )

ur 1st reason (A) is not true, after awhile, song expansion packs will be coming out. I hope they come out soon! reason B...that does alittle truth behind it...cuz i have heard some songs where u were playing and ur guitar was just a sec or 2 behind. reason C,i think they have many good bands in the game, but i think they could have done better in the song choice. i would have to agree with u in that.

Is completely true :-p A it takes time to make an expansion pack while XBLive is quick B Expansion packs cost around 50 dollars, usually containing more songs but, not allowing you to pick and choose.

Case in point to (A)

+1 :amen:

I don't know most of the songs on GHWT, I still love playing it, and while it's fun to play songs I know, like Crazy Train or Eye of the Tiger, it is also fun to play songs that are difficult, like Hot for Teacher or Satch Boogie. I wish they would have made Guitar Praise alot more heavy on guitars. I'm VERY dissapointed in the TFK songs they chose... it's almost as if the maker's just took the cover title because they didn't want to bother listening to it, because they didn't like rock?

Actually, there is an expansion coming out.  The article doesn't give a date (that I saw), but it does say there will be one.

I'm still not that impressed by the game, though, for reason's I've expressed earlier.  If I want to play Christian songs with a plastic guitar, I'll make my own GH2 customs.  Then, the only person I can blame for bad charting is myself.

lol you hook it up to the computer and then just go into the cd re-write the code to kill all the walls they've put to prevent hacking it then get the music you want and write it onto the cd and when I see a 12 year old do that he deserves to be put in college  :)

Note:there maybe software that I am not aware of to make this easier

Pretty much he said you have to know how to hack (which is illegal) to open the program up on the cd, if you screw it up you WILL (not maybe, WILL) destroy information on the cd. IF you can get it 'open' so you can code, you then must find out HOW to code the cd with new information.

most people who hack or mod mostly just add files to the stuff that is already installed on your computer almost never is the CD actualy hacked.
