the data migration kit is used to transfer your old hard drive contents onto a new one. as i now have a (shiny, awesome, cod black!) new xbox 360, i need to transfer my old hard drive contents onto my new one. i have the cable to do so, but you need the software disk as well. has anyone done this in the past and have a disk on hand?

why would you need a disk?

apparantly theres a disk that comes with the cable that you have to insert into the 360 to start the process. gamestop no longer carries the data migration kits, and i called microsoft today, and they informed me they were all out of stock. meh.

can you make your own? As you can do that with the backwards compatable stuff.
