This is a defense I have used with good success in the past, but I am now using the Offense I originally had paired with it in another deck. Looking for ideas on what might be a good fit.
Deck is 112 with a 43/43/26 distribution. I have listed the defense along with 4 of the artifacts I consider "defensive" leaving room for 7 additional artifacts/sites for the offense.
Cards in deck: 47
Grim Reaper Dominants: 3
Burial
Christian Martyr
Destruction of Nehushtan
Fortresses: 2
Headquarters at Riblah
Kingdoms of the World
Artifacts: 4
Darius' Decree
Hezekiah's Signet Ring
Magic Charms x2
Multi Evil Characters: 3
Chaldeans
Astrologers
The Winged Lion
Crimson Evil Characters: 11
Arioch
Babylonian Forces
King Merodach-baladan
Leviathan
Nebuchadnezzar x2
Nebushasban
Nergalsharezer x3
The Imperial Guard
Orange Evil Characters: 3
King of Tyrus
Seizing Spirit x2
Orange Evil Enhancements: 4
Worshipping Demons x4
Crimson Evil Enhancements: 17
Desecrate the Temple x2
Head of Gold x4
Midianite Attack x2
Nebuchadnezzar's Pride x3
Set Fire
Swift Horses x5
This is gonna be a 3rd deck, so feel free to suggest things that might be a bit more on the "hypothetically this should work" side. :P

Prophets/shuffle has always paired well with crimson some how, but I would pair it with TGT ladies. Set Fire, Desecrate the Temple, and Head of Gold would all help the offense, and you'd be setting aside on both side, so Darius' Decree could really do some damage, I would just add in another 1-2 more.

TGT Ladies was the original offense, so I'm not surprised you recognized that as being the best option. :)
Unfortunately I don't have the resources to build a 2nd TGT T2 offense.
Perhaps I should list a few of the offenses that I could currently build without needing to acquire a ton of cards:
--Purple Royalty w/ Green Provisions splash
--Musicians w/ AoCP splash
--Judges/Silver
--NT Gold/Purple
--Teal w/ AoCP splash
--Teal/Red
Teal is very intriguing because using Z-Temple would eliminate the need for Blue Tassels for my offense (since my defense is huge on capture).

My personal favorite is Teal/Gold. I throughly enjoy Deborah's Directive in combo with all the protected priests. I'm not a type 2 players at all, but I've used this offense in a 150 card T1 deck. I know its different, but I really enjoyed it and I think it'd be worth a try in T2.

--Teal/Red
I love teal/red.
I'm constantly making a newer modified teal/red. The latest one that I find to work most efficiently is actually more teal than red. I utilize Trumpet and Sword and the red is only there for banding/Soldier's Prayer recurring T&S and The Sabbath. Ram's Horn/The Sabbath to make Trumpet and Sword CBN. It's fun, I'm just not sure how competitive it is, so a 3rd deck would be good.
-
I decided I am going to try Judges/Silver with a bit of Teal mixed in. If that doesn't work then I might very well give the Teal/Red a shot.
-
will they ever make eli the priest the way he was suppose to be? teal/gold? he would be a good add someday.
-
Definitely Z-Temple teal paired with something else. I personally go with teal/green in that case but that's just because I haven't played teal paired with anything else. In fact, my latest teal/green splashes a little silver.
But the teal/red and teal/gold sound interesting.
(Maybe one of these days I'll play one of those colors after green has been neutered enough. ;) )
-
Most of my Green is being used in other T2 decks currently, so I'd really only be able to add some Provisions in terms of Green's big T2 enhancements.
I put together the Teal/Gold/Silver last night and I'm intrigued by the possibilities.

Teal/Gold/Silver sounds solid. Gold/silver sounds good either way, what exactly are you using teal for?

Couple reasons...first, because my defense is so focused on capture, I didn't include Blue Tassels. That being so, I wanted to have a few Heroes who had protection from capture so I have Phinehas x2, Joshua x2 (using Z-Temple) and Ahimaaz. I also felt like Trumpet and Sword would be better than Samson's Sacrifice since SS only gets an occupied site. Second, the offense is kind of combo-ish (Birth Foretold/Samson, Phinehas/Zeal, etc) so I wanted to use Urim and Thummim to maximize offensive efficiency (a.k.a. I know what you have in your hand so I know which combo will beat you).
I might be trying to do too much, I'm not sure yet. I know Gold/Silver can be successful as Jordan has used a Gold/Silver T2 deck in the past few tournaments, so I wanted to see what kind of synergy I could attain with adding some Teal. Since it's a 3rd deck that likely won't be used in tournaments, I basically want to throw it against the wall and see what sticks.
-
Yeah I was thinking the same thing of trying to do too much. I like doing 2 colors and maxing out the combos instead of trying to do too much, but Birth Foretold/Samson is not too card heavy so I can see it working. What options do you have for a Nazareth/Blue Tassels? I like how yo have Trumpet and Sword, I just wished you had a way to recur it, at least 1-2 more times because that card is seriously so strong. Other than that it sounds solid.

I got a funny story about this Justin but we'd have to hang out so youd get to know me better
