The Type 2 deck that can play Type 1 also!

Probably won't win, but this is what I decided to go with.  I got lazy of having to undo my other decks just to make a Type 2 deck, and also having to have 5 of so many cards.  So I came up with this 105 card Type 1/Type 2 deck to mess around with.  Works for both types without removing or adding any cards.  Anyway, it's a fun deck to try, using an offense and a defense that are rarely used anymore.

I wouldn't say that.

Looks nice, but against any well-built T1 or T2 deck, hybrid will be at a disadvantage

Agree.  It's not for tournament play (hence the lack of several dominants).  It's my deck to pull out for a casual game when someone wants to play Type 2, while also being a Type 1 casual game option with no changes.  I especially like the "no souls for you!" defense when it's working correctly.

Doh!  You're right, as it's two colors.  Totally missed that.  I'll replace him with either another low number grey guy, or Unknown Nation.  Thanks for pointing that out.

You could also add unholy writ and high priest's palace.

Is Proud Pharisee the one that let's me play an enhancement first?  I tried him once in this defense, and it didn't work because his numbers were often enough to give them inititiative and do something that I don't want.  This defense, when working perfectly, is designed to capture one of my own heroes and place in Raiders Camp, "suicide" the EC, and the player not get a lost soul NOR get initiative to negate anything.

If Raider's Camp is not out yet (but that's what False Peace and Hiram are for), then I'm at the mercy of hoping they can't negate/prevent my capture of their own hero in battle.  Like I said, it's risky, but really fun when it works.  I won a Type 1 tournament with this defense a couple years ago.

Only 11 ec's? Needs some more EC"s and I would switch out 2 captures 2 more versatile battle winners. Your defense looks too scattered, go with one thing and stick to it.

I count 15 ECs (1 Scribe will be replaced with another EC).  The entire defense is about capturing my own heroes to place in Raider's Camp.  It is a stall defense rather than a lockout defense.  Confusion of Mind and Stalks of Flax help with those heroes who are protected from capture, but even this is only important if I don't have Raider's Camp out.

Yeah my bad looked over it. I know it is a capture/self capture, I'm just saying I think it needs more versatility.

Just wanted to follow up and say that this is a fun casual deck.  Got to try it this weekend.  Might not win tournaments, especially without the big dominants, but it won a Type 1 game 5-4 AND a Type 2 game 7-1 on Saturday.  The Type 1 game was only close because opponent played SOG/NJ for two of his LS and Falling Away to take away one of mine.  He also used Women as Snares to take away a lot of my defense (Note to self to hold some bad guys in reserve).  I did not get SOG in my Type 1 game (typical for 105 card deck), but did get it in the Type 2 game.

Anyway, IF I can get some defense out there, and IF I can make some nice banding chains (with a lot of negates rewady to go), it can do pretty well.  I really wish more people played Red, because it doesn't seem as bad as everyone makes it out to be (neither does silver BTW).
