Deck concept I've always loved

I have always loved this idea for a deck but I never can really get it to work. This would be just for fun, maybe switch it up a bit for multiplayer. It's not done this is just the thought, I can never get the defense to truly be successful, or the offense. Side note: I don't have this deck written down or made, I did this one off the top of my head so I am sure I missed stuff.

Why Warriors Captain over Kings?  Your IAs can band to Captain K, and he gets around Prince of the Air/Prince of Persia.
If creation sings Your praises so will I
If You gave Your life to love them so will I

Do you like Burial shroud? it seems that this defense would have trouble against btn, how about 2x HoH? Besides you dont have nazzy to stop the CA (okay you could shuffle in writ). You also need some way to get rid of placed enhancements/ horses, I am grace looks like your best option.

I don't really think I need to get rid of placed enhancements/horses. Main reason is because my archers can pop all of them plus my I Am Healing. I like letting my opponent waste his stuff when I know I can just keep on attacking.

Fair enough, however if they have their forts out that can be an issue. You do have ss which deals with them but it can be negated. Just thoughts.

On a side note I hate it now that you basically have to add counters to thaddeus in every deck, or not play with the defense at all. This really hurts variety in the meta, I mean you couldn't really play this in a large tournament with all of the di running around. On the same note I couldn't play a saducceess defense competetively, or a brown defense, romans (which has a lot of stopping power for other brigades) and hope to win. All they have against thaddeus is gib trick which is easier said then down when big man is banded to something else. You pretty much have to play phars, herods, or demons.... Pharisees sounds like the best option over all because it is most effective agaisnt other defenses too.

Yeah I completely agree, I hate having to switch up my entire defense so counter for Thad, even when down here I don't get to go against him. I am almost hoping that when I go to the TN district next month someone will be using Thad just so I know my defense wasn't for nothing. A good defense that I like that works against everything, especially Thad, is Assyrians/Pharisees. Both have protect forts, and you have large numbers on the Assyrian side, and initiative on the Pharisees side. Forgotten History/Pretension/Balaam's Disobedience for your main enhancements hurts just about everything.

You may be on to something.... and the horses on Rabby cannot be negated so james son of a doesn't hurt. Plus with the forts you can run di too

Yep, it looks solid on paper, just wondering how it will do in test. I will find out tomorrow when I play against RTSmaniac and I'll post how it goes.

Roman Destroys Jerusalem- and it can be recurred with golgotha+Abe's Kid (note:need a blue guy on offence)
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

Romans are probably the worst defense against di because of their low numbers. First They can be killed easily with crown of thorns and have no protection from it. Second their low defense, if they can make it to batte, can't stop thad other than balaams. If you block higher you won't be able to play anything except if you have horses. Which  james conveniently negates. The only plausible way to get of an RDJ is in a side battle or get it off early in the game. Even if you do there is always HT to save one or if they have a healing card it can save em all. And to play rdj you have to severly limit your offense to OT. Balaams is a better tech which is best played in a pharisees or even an syrian defense where you can keep your guys alive. IMO pharisees have the edge becasue they can play pretension to keep him busy for a while.

EDIT in the previous post I stuck romans in an odd position I ment to place them first and have the parenthesis refer to brown only and the last sentence. RDJ can defenetly is a counter if you can pull it off.

But of course, RDJ is much better in a Herods deck now, assuming you plan to have two copies of Herod's Temple in your deck.

And why do you think Birth Foretold would fit perfectly?

I think he's suggesting you could do a bit of Bullet Proof Samson, since you're playing silver/gold anyway.

Bulletproof Samson is pretty epic in multi. No Charms or Writs can hurt him, and he's huge. In my bulletproof Samson deck, I even use Entertaining Angels in case they block and use Balaam's Disobedience. Consuming Fire is also nice to stop coward blocks like Uzzah (pretty much whenever I use it, since i have a Judge in play, I choose my opponent's main brigade and brown, just in case). Also, the ability to Search for SoG if you can get it before Nazzy comes out is pretty sweet.

But you almost have to play with an OT offense which is no fun, all of the power houses are nt. You can play red if you like.

Sounds to me like someone's a bit bitter...That 7-1 shellacking still hurts a bit, doesn't it?
