I started with Green and evil Gold because my pre-Disciples T2 deck had been Prophets/Egyptians. The first thing I noticed was that Herod's Temple could be nice, especially since Herod the Great can search for it, so I decided to completely New Testamentize my deck (or at least the characters), and went from there. This is a rough draft of the deck:
Good: 38
Agabus
Anna x2
Joanna
John the Baptist x2
Micah x2
Paladin
Saint Patrick x2
Simeon x3
Faithful Servant
Behold the Lamb x2
Baptism of Jesus x2

Habakkuk Stands Watch x3
New Priestly Duty x2

Two Bears
Herod’s Temple x2
Obadiah’s Caves

Evil: 38

High Priest Ananias x2
High Priest Annas
High Priest Caiaphas x2

Foolish Advice x3

Intent to Kill
Joseph in Prison x2
Pride of Simon x2
Questioning Christ x3
Just a Hireling
Captured Ark x2
Peter's Curse

Christian Martyr
Neutral: 29

who is covered under The Gates of Jerusalem?
-
All the Herods.
-
i thought only herod agrippa II was.
-
Hm, I could have sworn there was a thread where they confirmed all Herods to be kings of Judah. But the REG says otherwise, and it was also before Disciples came out...so I'm not sure. :-\
-
so far all i see is HAII
-
Is Herod the Great seriously not considered a king of Judah?
-
None of the Herods are considered Kings of Judah. They are all Jewish Kings which is different.
Herod Agrippa II is listed incorrectly in the REG. He's not a King of Judah. *ducks*
-
He's not a King of Judah. *ducks*
So you're saying he is a king of Judah, but is not a king of ducks...right?
-
Are you sure about a solid NT offense? Romans Destroy Jerusalem would own your offense.
-
I have multiples of almost every one of my heroes. Romans Destroy Jerusalem is not that big a threat, especially since it's only one per deck. I'm pretty sure there is no one card or theme that would own my offense. Maybe having a few OT prophets would be good, but I would like to be able to use my NT-only enhancements unrestricted.
-
did we take out Gates of J yet?
-
New version posted.
-
I would like to see you offence help your defence a little more with like golgotha+abe's kid to get back JaH so u need a splash of blue and Nathan also. this will help against any pesky combo decks as well but you need something for CtB. needs more.
-
I don't think it's wise splashing blue in just to recur JaH. The green looks shaky enough as is.
-
I tried a Green T2 offense and I'm not a big fan. KotW shut down my provisions and I didn't really have many ways around heretics. My best offense ended up being Abel's Sacrafice+Baptism of Jesus. Didn't see that coming with all the other battle winners like 2 bears and plague of frogs being in my deck.
-
He's not a King of Judah. *ducks*
So you're saying he is a king of Judah, but is not a king of ducks...right?
I think you mean that he was a king of ducks, but then the ducks died, he died, etc...
This deck needs another evil dominant added to it.
-
If Herod the great isn't a king of judah someones gonna have to let me into the secret board. Look at historical context on herod then check his identifier if king of judah isn't there it will appear in the mythacal 'New REG"(TM) (none of this is meant in an offensive manner I promise!)
-
He wasn't a king of Judah.... He was a king of JUDEA.
-
Same thing. Same amount of land if you think about it. Same people.
Same thing. And yes I knew about that honest.
