Title: Need a defense: What pairs well with Purple?
Post by: Red Wing on February 14, 2012, 04:24:55 PM: ^Title. I plan on using a purple offense, but I don't know what I should do for defense. Any ideas?

Kings of Israel/Gates of Samaria has some good synergy with purple royalty, with Solomon and Hiram helping get Gates out faster, and Amaziah being able to CtB. That's what I would use.

Post by: browarod on February 14, 2012, 04:44:30 PM: It depends on what kind of purple you're planning to use. If you want Kings, then ProfAlstad's suggestions are better than anything I could say. If you're using Disciples, though, I played with someone's T2 deck awhile ago that was Disciples/Emperors and it synced really well.

I'm planning on using OT purple, should have clarified.

Back to topic though, Assyrians work well with it, just watch out with King Hezekiah/Camp.
