A big question I have, though, is what are some ways for gold to get around demons (besides three nails)?

The best way to get around demons is to splash in another color. I would go with purple or white. Three nails is good, but most demon defenses are more than ready for it.
-
Demons are a tough cookie to crack. I use to run a demon defense, and even if my opponent had 3 nails it helped them maybe once, beings I had 5x Seven Sons of Sceva, 3x Captured Ark, and DON.
I found that demon defenses are character heavy (atleast mine was, I had 20 ECs lol). They don't have the greatest battle winners: Sinning Hand (easily stopped), an 0/3 "end the battle CBN", and then some negateable stuff. Splashing in a second color would work very well. Prophets seem to do pretty well beings they shuffle your opponent's deck, and demon users want their demons on the bottom of their deck.
-
I am thinking maybe Joaida gathered to generous widow, gathered to martha might be a nice little 3 card d/c abom (with feast of trumpets played on Joaida every time)
-
So is splash basically the only way? Aren't there any gold cards that hurt demons?
-
I know that the good cards don't equal the evil cards. This is one area I need some help. Also, I would like to get it chopped down to 119 cards (so I only need to order one more set of sleeves). Any advise is welcomed (though, I will considerate it more if you let me know your logic behind the switches)
-
Furnace is the only one I can think of to discard a demon.
I personally like using the white TGT ladies with the gold ladies for some serious damage from He is Risen, plus there's A Child is Born, and many recursion possibilities. But Two Bears is very tempting...

OUT
House in Bethany (helps against demons, but won't really help win a battle)
Wall of Protection (most CtB decks will use their own ECs to block and none of your characters really need protected too much)
Temple of Dagon (no one really captures evil characters)
A-Pole (you will never really get a chance to use this, most OT heroes use pre-block abilities)
Household Idols (can be good, but Darius' Decree is much, much better)
Most of the Gold enhancements except Meeting the messiah and a few Rep. and Rests (You need to splash in another offensive color)
Philly priests and Goliath (Not really that useful... add in more armor bearers)
Overwhelmed by Phillistines (too situational with phillys)
Philly Chariots and Horses (initiative really doesnt help Phillys)
Reckless Endangerement (not needed)
IN
Darius Decree x3
Bronze Laver x2
More Meeting the Messiah (probably 4 or 5)
More Armor Bearers
Another Good Brigade
-
I am trying to keep it one good brigade. I found a nice way to kill off a lot of demons for quite a few turns (plent of furnaces and high way (cost me a RA but would hurt them).
The temple is not only good in case they do have capture, but I cab have altar of dagon in it to be cannon fodder for CA.
As for a pole and HI, those will go out when I have a chance to change it.
-
Just watch out for Judas Iscariot if you are going to use an all gold offense. If you run into him you are done for.

Thats what Ambush the City is for.

I was thinking the same thing. so Ambush the city x2 plus battle prayer x2 just in case you need to get it back out...
-
Breaking it down line by line :)
OUT
House in Bethany (helps against demons, but won't really help win a battle)
Every little bit helps (plus it's a mini Goshen for my heroes)
Wall of Protection (most CtB decks will use their own ECs to block and none of your characters really need protected too much)
I have WOP to stop them banding to my peeps. Might take it out later.
Temple of Dagon (no one really captures evil characters)
A-Pole (you will never really get a chance to use this, most OT heroes use pre-block abilities)
Took them both out.
Household Idols (can be good, but Darius' Decree is much, much better)
HHI really helps Philistine Garrison
Most of the Gold enhancements except Meeting the messiah and a few Rep. and Rests (You need to splash in another offensive color)
As I mentioned afterwards, I'm going to keep it one brigade
Philly priests and Goliath (Not really that useful... add in more armor bearers)
Took out Goliath and added an armor bearer. The priests I would like to keep for their second ability.
Overwhelmed by Phillistines (too situational with phillys)
Discard all heroes in battle is too situational?!?!?! If you mean the CBN if purple hero is in battle, I'm planning on using this deck against decks I know uses purple.
Philly Chariots and Horses (initiative really doesnt help Phillys)
Why?
Reckless Endangerement (not needed)
Since I have high places in my deck for Abom, I figure I will add something else to use the fortress (and negating peeps like ET sounds like fun to me :) )
IN
Darius Decree x3
Added two
Bronze Laver x2
Maybe but I'm not bought on it yet
More Meeting the Messiah (probably 4 or 5)
More Armor Bearers
Done
Another Good Brigade
Nope

Updated.

I would take out 2 converts for 2 Ambush the City's. Orange usually blocks you with a big band, you ambush the band and re attack. I would switch out Reckless Endangerment x2 for Devourer x2. I think you have too many fortresses, I would try to get the deck down to 112. You also have way too few EC's, especially for a 119, I play no less than 15, for a 100-105 card deck.
-
actually with the three outpost it is basically 16 EC.
looks like a really fun deck to play and it only gets better after disciples. good job!
-
you have 1 card that isn't doubled that can be doubled. sigh...
