Hi. I've been looking all over the place for help on this one. But can't. Does anyone know how many Lost Souls you need to have in a Type II 252 card deck?
Also, is the max number of cards in a Type II deck 252, or 254? I ask because a Redemption host in my area told me it was 254, and I just looked online, and it said it was 252. So I'm a little confused.

The most cards you can have in a type 2 deck are 252 with 37 of them being lost souls. (252 ÷ 7) + 1 = 37

Thanks. I was reading 34 for some odd reason.
-
A T2 that big is not necessarily better, unless you have a reason for one that big I would not do it.

The best type two decks are 100 cards . Going to 105 if you are heavier on the neutral side is just fine too. Personally I like 105 bettter because you get ot you good card that much quicker but there isn't much problem with 105 either some of those cards might come in handy. If you still would like to add more card 112 is the way to go but no type 2 deck should exceed 112.

Well thanks for your input sir Nameless and Mr. Hobbit, but I like running big decks. I'm not saying I don't care for your opinions, I just find that bigger decks can slow fast decks down as they can house more cards than smaller decks. While you're right that a bigger deck has a less chance to pull that winning card, I don't mind it that much. As long as I can provide a long and entertaining game for the other Redemption players in my area, I don't care how big my decks end up being.
Also, TripleplayNo3. I was right about it being 34 Lost Souls. If you take a look at the 10th anniversary edition rule book, look at the TYPE II Deck Building Rules in the back. You should see a chart showing you how many Lost Souls you can have in a Type II deck up to 140 cards. 19 Lost Souls. Now keep adding 7 until you reach 252. You'll land right on the dot with 34 Lost Souls. Not 37.

After recounting I came up with 35. :o
Here it is,
140=19
147=20
154=21
161=22
168=23
175=24
182=25
189=26
196=27
203=28
210=29
217=30
224=31
231=32
238=33
245=34
252=35
So I guess the proper equation is (# cards in deck ÷ 7) - 1 ;)

So we were both wrong :-[.....ah well. At least we fixed it this time. Thanks. ;)

You can make a game long and fun even with a 100 card deck as long as you use 4 copies of A New Beginning. ;)

A New Beginning is a very powerful card to be sure. Just one problem. I don't run green.

Don't tell Eric or Kirk about not exceeding 112...
