Title: Weird New Testament Themed Deck Thingy
Post by: Lampy 2.0 on January 16, 2014, 12:45:10 AM
I've been deck building again. I wanted to see if this would work, but it feels a little bit odd.

Heroes:

Green Brigade:
Saint Patrick
John The Baptist
Anna
Sowing the Sead
Baptism of Jesus

Purple Brigade:
Thaddeus
Phillip
John
Peter
Thomas
Reach of Desperation
Fishers of Men
You Are The Christ
Sent Two By Two
Penecost

Black Brigade
Disbelieving Sadducee
High Priest Annas
High Priest's Plot
Wickedness of Delilah
Joseph in Prison
Intent to Kill
False Witnesses

Crimson
Judas Iscariot (Limited for now, until I can get the Priests version)

Grey:
Hard Hearted Religious Leaders
Proud Pharisee
Stone Throwers
Pretension
Washing Hands
Sorrow of Mary

Evil Multicolors:
Arrest in Gethsemane
Tenants Kill the Son

Sites:
Marketplace
Nazareth
Jerusalem

Artifact:
Crown of Thorns

Forts:
Fishing Boat
Herod's Temple

Dominants:
Son of God
New Jerusalem
Angel of the Lord
Christian Martyr
Destruction of Nehushtan
Vain Philosophy

Lost Souls:
NT Only
Shut Door
Lost Souls
Shuffler
Site Discarder
Rejoice
Far Country

I think the deck has some balance issues that needs tweaking. What should I do with this thing?

First i would cut Thad for Matt since you only have 5 disciples or cut the green and add disciples my disciples offenses usually look like this

Thad
Matt
Thom
Bart
Phill
Little James
John
Big James
Peter
Andrew
Simon the Zealot
mlmg
aocp
passover hymn
and something else im forgetting on defense i would take out arrest in gethsemane for just a hireling.

Since you're running NT, and have both of the appropriate Disciples in the deck already, I'd almost say TGT might be a good add for this deck, especially if you take out Thad.

Also, did you mean to only use 6 dominants?

I COULD do that.

Also, I had 7 dominants originally, the 7th being Burial, but my deck's size was over 50, so I was trying to cut down to 50.

I would use CP instead of Jerusalem. I think that this deck would look awesome in black sleeves.

I'll look into this one, as I don't have CP yet. And oddly enough, I am running this deck in black sleeves! :D

If you throw in TGT then you might as well put in Joanna(w) since she just so happens to be green and N.T. For defense I think you should take out Disbelieving Sadducees and False Witness and put in Sadducees (generic) and The Entrapping Pharisees. I know that Sads would die from Crown of Thorns but currently your black is pretty much never going to get initiative. I'd also switch Stone Throwers for Scribe since Stone Throwers really isn't too useful except for certain strategies and Pretension. Scribe would give you initiative and wouldn't die from CoT, in fact, if you have CoT activated he's 2/1 and will get inish easily, the only problem is he's not a Pharisee or Sadducee so you can't use Pretension or High Priest's Plot on him.

Definitely needs Entrapping Pharisee!
