Honestly, I think the defense is weak and the offense need some help as well...Herod's temple kills this deck... I would put Aaron (di) Moses in this deck and Maybe Eli's Sound Advice... I don't think AoCp is worth it... You may want to splash some more WC hero's maybe red? Asahel, Abishai, Heldai? So you can utilize T&S and recur it with ASP. Oh and to Help T&S even more add Hidden Treasures and Jeremiah texp so you can play it preblock and negate protect abilites on annoying fortresses.

These are just a few things I see. I think the deck could work but it needs more power...

stocks and the capture card from deck F would help with the defence
and then you could add a raiders camp
and you need the FooF artifact that helps aserians

Well the thing is, this is an idea I have been working with for a long while, pretty much my whole redemption career. I'm considering trying to go with something new, but I honestly wonder if a Z-Temple deck is worth saving or is it old news?

I am still at a loss as to why you havent spend the couple quarters to get confusion...i mean its like the ultimate slap in the face to your opponent for that brigade

Well I have it on my trade thread and have had it there for a little while now but no one has offered to trade for it...

Doesnt Bret rarely play pale green? If its not important to him...might as well ask for a permamnent trade or something

They definitely are.

I am working on a similar idea for my new T1 deck (same brigades, different strategy). I like it a lot!

Bret used it in his TGT deck at the tournement on saturday

I found going Confusion was rarely the best bet if you were playing very competitively with experienced players.
With a lot of your Evil Characters you will rarely get initiative to play that enhancement, and there is a large chance that it is going to be negated anyway.
By putting it in you might use it once in a while on a more unexperienced player but over all you want to have a battle winner not a haha gotcha card.
btw I have played Assyrians in almost all of my decks ever since they came into existence.

It's a long shot, but nailing your opp's SoG is incredible.
Title: Re: Shades of Green
Post by: Isildur on April 23, 2011, 02:46:32 PM
even if your not going for SOG you can still hit lots of things that will cause you loads of pain. TGT for example :p

Post by: Rawrlolsauce! on April 23, 2011, 02:49:37 PM
I confusioned Tim Maly's SOG in my first ever T2 game to bring me to a 7-5 victory. Therefore, confusion rocks.

I know I want to get one, I used it against Soul Seeker playing him in a district, still lost 5 to 3 but it made it last a bit longer..

Why J-Tower? because of local meta playing confusion? deck discard hurting you? As Polarius would state: this defense works like Emps in that it thrives on 2KHorsies. I would add in Golgotha+Abes Descendant because it combos well with DoU and you can get your Horsies back in a pinch. That means youll need a blue guy to go with it. Take out Elishib and J-Tower to free up 2 card slots and add in Tribal Elder and Abe's Descendant. Dont forget this card can also be used as a battle winner on offence in battle. I would also take out His Name is John for Golgotha because of The Sabbath that does the same but better and can be recurred. Lastly I would take out Zadok for Ethan to recur Bennedictus. Im worried with DoU and Achin's Sin youur not going to be able to block. Maybe drop The Rabshakeh's Threat for Torment? Take out Book of the Covenant for Lampstand. Drop Joiakim, son of Joshua.

thats why you throw in some really small numberd greens in there like King Jahoiakim so there is no way you cant have initiative.

Actually King Jehoiakim is the only reliable initiative character, and not an Assyrian.

King Jehoiakim (Ki)

Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Gold • Ability: 6 / 5 • Class: Warrior • Special Ability: Look at opponent's hand. If there is a white enhancement, or a card with a Jeremiah reference, select and remove one of these from the game. • Play As: Search opponent's hand for a white enhancement or a Jeremiah card. Remove one of these from the game. • Identifiers: OT Male Human, King (Judah), Royalty, Fought Earthly Battle • Verse: II Kings 23:34 • Availability: Kings booster packs (Uncommon)

What am I missing?

King Jehoiakin (Ki)
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Pale Green • Ability: 1 / 1 • Class: None • Special Ability: Discard King Jehoiakin after battle if a Babylonian is in play. • Identifiers: OT Male Human, King (Judah), Royalty, Fought Earthly Battle • Verse: II Kings 24:8 • Availability: Kings booster packs (Uncommon)

:)

I have said it before, and i will say it again. A brigade is only bad if you play it badly.

My cavalier will never be a ferrari despite how well I drive.

Although I can't be sure about that, I'm a terrible driver.

I can play a terrible Disciples deck and own a great Pale Green* defense.

*Assyrian. Magicians are actually good.

I wonder if anyone going to NY states has one, the only reason I ask that is because I don't want to pay for postage if I can avoid it.
