Title: Samaritans
Post by: zmc 9 on January 30, 2012, 09:52:35 AM
What enhancements should i use for Yellow Samaritans  :)

I have (Kindness)( Negate evil immune abilities. Hero ignores one evil brigade in battle. Opponent Must draw one (Or 2 if used by a Samaritan)

(Furnace of God's Wrath) Holder may select one evil character in field of play from each opponent and discard it.)

(Samson's Sacrifice) (If used by a judge negate and discard one O.T. evil fortress or occupied site in play to discard all cards in battle and a;; human Evil characters in opponent's territory.)

(Taking Egypt's wealth) Look at Opponents hand and take one enhancement there into your hand

(Fishers of Men) Covert any human Evil Character to a Hero in the brigade color of your choice

(Repentance and Restitution) If used by a Luke Hero. convert a human evil character to a gold brigade Hero. Cannot be negated by an evil card. if the rescue attempt is successful. opponent must draw four cards.

I would take out Samson's, because it only works for judges. Looke at some of the other Luke and John enhancements.

Definitely Samaritan Water Jar (TxP) - sets aside top 3 or 9 cards of opp. deck (minus Lost Souls) until they are decked out.

Does this work (Good Samaritan) Holder may take Kindness from discard pile an place it in players hand.  So could i do that as many times as i like?

You do it once when he enters battle. Plus, unless your deck is 100 cards or more you can only have one kindness in your deck.

I just got Meeting the Messiah in my deck. What heros should i have with gold samaritans.

Hey there! Please avoid double posting in the future. I merged both of your double posts in this topic, so no harm done, but it is, technically, against the rules. =)

I would take out Sampson's Sacrifice and put Samuel's Edict. It's a great gold card. =)

Ambush the City is the most versatile Gold enh. Other good ones (not essential) for Samaritan offenses include Faith as a Mustard Seed (interrupt and can get around demons) and Hospitality o' Martha (banding card that protects your hand from Mayhem and Lost Souls from Death o' Unrighteous and Shuffler LS). Women at the Well is a must-have hero as well.

Be forewarned, N.T. Gold can be very good, but is very difficult to play and requires a specialized deck to use most effectively. I advise against using it if you're new or don't know how to build a cohesive deck (as opposed to an offense+a defense+support cards).

here (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/type-1-deck-advice/the-deck-chronic-apathy-hates/), when I saw it was trying to link to my deck, I just had to fix the link.

I fixed the original link. And Drrek, as much as I dislike Luke as a whole, you certainly have a solid archetype there, though I still argue against House of Bethany.
