Credit for this deck goes mostly to Gabe, I used the list from his I/J playtesting deck and modified it somewhat. * indicates new card (or new version).

I used to have Golden Cherubim in here, but then realized that I had no idols for Worshipping Demons so I swapped it out for HHI.

I've only played 1 game with this (pre-HHI change), but the biggest problem is that my Ruth cards have literally no protection. They aren't CB-anything and the banding chain gets pretty big pretty quickly which leaves me open to lots of things.

Also, not enough defense against artifacts. Asherah Pole wrecked my Ruth chain with an early Korah's Rebellion (CBN against my offense). I'm thinking of swapping Strife out for DoN, and maybe trying to fit CA in somewhere.

Thoughts/suggestions/ideas would be most helpful.

If your Ruth Battle Winners are not CBN then its not really worth it to play any of them. Personally I would go with the banding chain Gleaning the Fields and the draw TC card and negate(s). The main purpose of your chain then would be to get the d2 back if you are in a tight situation and need to draw.

Use DoN instead of Strife.

I thought as much. Updated.

What would you suggest the rest of the enhancements be, then?

I was hoping to have a Ruth deck with Judges splash rather than a Judges deck with Ruth splash. :P

I didn't find more enhancements to be necessary, but if you think you need them and want them to work with Ruth Heroes maybe try Words of Encouragement and Magnificant. It's also tempting to add Moses and Transfiguration to this offense.

Well, the only enhancements I added to your list were Gleaning (for recursion, it's super nice) and Devotion of Ruth. I thought about adding Transfig and Moses, maybe I will.

I advise against Magnificat.  It only sets aside an EC if played on a musician or NT female.

Transfig/Moses I like.  CtL can search out or recur Transfig as well.

I'd take out Devotion of Ruth, Gleaning the Fields, and Angel with the Secret Name for Blessings, Words of Encouragemnt, and Moses and then if you can find room add Transfig.

I'm just worried that taking out DoR leaves me with only WJG (and maybe Transfig, technically) as a battle winner I can play on my white heroes. Am I completely wrong about how they function with Judges in that they are strictly support?

UPDATE:
Removed-
-Gleaning the Fields
-Devotion of Ruth

Added-
+Moses
+Transfig

Still not sure about it overall. Anymore thoughts?

I'd drop Family Bond.  Plain-vanilla negates, even if they can be used by most of your heroes, are usually not optimal.  If you want to replace it with a GE, I suggest Deb's Directive or Shamgar's Oxgoad.

I wanted to try and fit Deb's Directive in, so perhaps I'll do that.

When I played a similar deck Family Bond was extremely important. The Ruth band isn't going to have initiative but Elders can get back family bond every battle. There are also times that people will try to beat a protected Samson or Gideon btn that you'll be glad you have it.

Yeah, that's why I was hesitant to take it out. I think I'm just gonna try it the way it is now (with the Moses and Transfig addition) and see how it works.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone! :D
