I think this deck needs some work. I have never actually tried a Sadducees deck before, but it looks like the defense is a little too big (especially in comparison to the petit offense).

Where's Doctrine Like Leaven? That card is awesome with Hormah/2-liner; recur a Sadducees each turn and discard him at the end to bury your Hormah.

That's actually a really good idea. I've noticed, bubbleboy, you like decks w/ bigger defenses, don't you? Like the singin site lockout and some other ones i'm 2 tired to mention. I'm NOT AT ALL saying that's bad, cause people have their opinions on how decks should look; it was just an observation. Correct me if i'm wrong, k :)

Hm...I never felt like I used large defenses any more than large offenses; for example, my last deck (the one that went 5-2 against you in ironman) only had like a 13 card defense, with like a 20 card offense. I like trying new stuff.

Doctrine returns the character to your territory so that would not work. You cannot just randomly discard your own character unless the character is a card you are discarding from hand or a special ability allows you to do so.

I don't think he was insinuating that he can choose to discard his own character from play. It's not hard to "chump block" with a 1/3 Sadducee and just let him die. It gets even easier if you have Crown of Thorns.
-
The thought crossed my mind that he might be referring to that, I was just making sure no one who casually browses the forums thought the character could be randomly discarded. I should have put clarifying text as you did Gabe. ;)

Ah, right. I should have clarified myself a bit better; I did mean to say that you can block with an endless stream of Sadducees and let them die. Thanks, Kirk.

How would you keep recurring Hormah, though?
-
deck out :)
-
I know what you're talking about - Pentecost - and it's only d3, but still, this is a 63 card deck and it would take me a while to deck out.
-
dude you would draw 13 cards with those two.
What are you talking about? Pentecost draws 3 and FF draws 4 (and makes you d/c one good from hand first). Even if you could use both at the same time, it would only d7, certainly not 13.
cameron isnt ther a preist you use to recure pentecost? i think his name is joida or somthing like that.
Yes, Joiada is in this deck, but it isn't for this purpose.
