I recently built a 50 card deck that had no evil characters. So far it has worked well for me but I don't know if that will hurt me in a tournament. Does anyone have any advice for a no defense deck?
-
Caleb lentine r you by chance a son of Kory lentine the legend from mizzou? Anyways you need a defense with every deck in order to stay competetive. That doesn't mean you have to play much but just enough to get by.

Yeah I'm Kordel's son (notice: Enitnel backwards...)
Actually, I do have 1 evil character, amalikite slave (but he doesn't block) and I have "defensive" dominants.

Defenseless just isn't viable anymore. Offenses are less reliable to be put simply. Battlewinners like AOTL or Zeal aren't a fo-sho victory anymore thanks to Herod's Temple. FBTN isn't too happy either and then there's always dudes like Uzzah. Even if it is fast (or uses good searching, hoping opponent doesn't have Naz), it isn't reliable.

yes add at least an Uzzah in there. Im never good at building defense. Ill find a post by CJSports that has helped me some...

Well... Tommorow I'm going to the Iowa State, I hope to prove you wrong... but I'll most likely fall flat and fail epically
(I'm checking in multiple decks)

Neato. Meet you there :).

Pure defenseless will lose unless you get EXTREMELY lucky with not drawing any souls, your opponent having Souls, and/or your opponent not drawing any Heroes. For just a few cards you can have Uzzah, Gomer, Haman's Plot, Gib Trick, and Spirit of Temptation. Losing 6 cards from offense for 7 cards of defense is extremely worth it, as it will translate to 3 or 4 turns of advantage against your opponent.

Considering that probably 4 of the top 20 players in the country were probably in attendance (Gabe Isbell, John Nesfeder, Kevin Shride, and Tim Maly), I wouldn't sweat it. And that doesn't even include your Dad, who I have heard was AWESOME back in the day :)

Don't forget Nathan Voigt, Alan Rice and Andrew Wester. They can hold their own against any of the 4 people you mentioned above. In fact, in that group of names we have the winners of over half the categories! ::)

True... I'm still proud I got 6th in Multi with no SoG :)
