Newbie, here! I need my first deck analysed!

Hey, everyone!  I'm NotOfThisWorld66.  I'm new to the boards and have recently began getting serious about Redemption.  I have been following deck analysis for others on this board and have used your advice to formulate my first deck.  I'll explain my strategy afterward:

First Deck

Cards: 59

Silver Brigade Heroes: 6

Guiding Angel
Servant Angel
Angel at Tomb
Eli
Angel of Revelation
Providing Angel

Silver Brigade Enhancements: 6

Weapon of Light
The Fourth Seal
The Fifth Seal
The Sixth Seal
The Seventh Seal
Winds

Red Brigade Heroes: 3

Mentor
Chloe
Jude

Red Brigade Enhancements: 5

The Harvest
Book of Gad the Seer
Freedom!
A Roman Soldier's Faith
Lamplight

Pale Green Brigade Evil Characters: 5

Esau the Hunter
Hophni, son of Eli
Shechem
Er
Doeg

Pale Green Brigade Enhancements: 7

Lance
Bad Dealings
Bad Intentions
Death of Jacob
Murder
Misuse of Talents
Hagar Dismissed

Gray Brigade Evil Characters: 3

Laban
Oppressive Women
Lying Spirit

Gray Brigade Evil Enhancements: 3

Desolation of Tamar
Hard Bondage
Forced Labor

Lamb Dominants: 2

Son of God
Angel of the Lord

Reaper Dominants: 2

Christian Martyr
Burial

Covenants: 2

Covenant of Eden
I am Salvation

Artifacts: 3

Gifts of the Magi
Altar of Incense
Priestly Crown

Sites: 2

Garden of Eden
Tree of Knowledge

Multi Colored Enhancements: 2

Shoes of Peace
Fountains of Living Water

Lost Souls: 8

Lost Soul
Lost Soul
Lost Soul
Lost Soul
Lost Soul
Lost Soul
Lost Soul
Lost Soul

Okay, so this is mostly from starter decks E/F with some booster packs mixed in.  I used Silver and Red Brigades for offense, and Pale Green and Gray for defense.  I tried to keep the deck as small as I can.  What do you think?  Thanks!!

First off, welcome to Redemption! I don't know what you have in your collection, but If I were you I would take out cards that don't have a sa. Those won't do you any good. You need Gabriel, AAS, and Michael. I would cut this deck down to 56 cards and have 1-2 brigades for offense and 1 brigade for defense. E/F starters are good for begginers, but if you are working towards a tourney-winner, I would buy some of the newer sets (foof, priests) and start building with those.

God Bless,
Daniel

+1 stop doing that Andy.

+1 with RRulez also.  Special abilities are what win battles, and 56 cards is definitely the best way to go.  The fewer the lost souls the better.

Hey, what's up?
One thing you want to do is have your deck size between 50-56 cards.  It doesn't have to be that way, but that's what you preferably want to do :) by the way, welcome a la boards. ;)

First ,I agree with what everyone has said for the most part. Welcome to the boards!

Furthermore, I would probably consider either taking out your two sites or adding at least three more. :)

Thanks for the quick response, you guys!  You're a real blessing!  I have around 100-150 cards in my collection.  I haven't taken the time to count, but that is my estimation.  Response to Rrulez: Would Laban still work?  He's a human evil character who would make a very good team with Lying Spirit.  And I don't necessarily have to use him to block a rescue attempt.  But if I lowered the number of cards in my deck to 56, I could draw Lying Spirit quickly and then band Lying Spirit to Laban, and that team would easily win a battle with a few enhancements.

Also, I've heard a good deal of praise to the New Jerusalem dominant.  Where can I find that?  And I also have no other sites besides those two, but I imagine if I get FooF then I probably will get some new sites anyway.

By the way, I do have a special affect Lost Soul, and I will add it immediately.  I appreciate it greatly.

I also need to ask: what brigades make good teams as far as offense goes with the Silver Brigade?  For decks E/F, I think Red Brigade is good, and I've also heard that the Pale Green Brigade is excellent in these decks.

I'm guessing he lives in the UK because he spelled "analyse" with an "s" instead of the corrupted American version "analyze" which is a "z".

I think I'm the only American who spells it  "analyse", that I know of.

Sorry about the double post.  But until I get FooF or RoA (which I have the money to get), I will use this deck.  How about it?

Next Deck

Cards: 51

Blue Brigade Heroes: 3

Shepherd
Tribal Elder
Servant Girl

Blue Brigade Enhancements: 5

Dove
Sign of the Rainbow
Journey to Egypt
Jubilee
Lay Down Your Life

Silver Brigade Heroes: 4

Servant Angel
Angel at Tomb
Eli
Providing Angel

Silver Brigade Enhancements: 6

Winds
Weapon of Light
The Fourth Seal
The Fifth Seal
The Sixth Seal
The Seventh Seal

Gray Brigade Evil Characters:

Shaphat
Laban
Lying Spirit
Pharisees

Gray Brigade Evil Enhancements:

Forced Labor
Snare
Dishonest Trader
Persistent Pestering

Lost Souls: 7

Lost Soul
Lost Soul
Lost Soul
Lost Soul
Lost Soul
Lost Soul
Lost Soul (When you place this Lost Soul in your land of bondage, you may remove a Lost Soul from one of your sites)

And everything else is exactly the same.  I changed my defense brigade to gray because I have so many great cards for it.  I've also included blue instead of red in my offense.  So, until I get Rock of Ages and Faith of our Fathers, this will be my deck!  What do you think?

By the way, I wouldn't add any lost souls that require sites until you have more sites to add.

Other than that, I think you are off to a decent start. (You might drop one last card to make the deck and even 50)

Edit:
where are the arts and the dominants?
I think he just left that off because he didn't change those.

The Spy is correct.  I stated previously that I did not change anything else.  Sorry about the confusion.  Also, Pharisees was solely meant for the purpose of banding with opponent Pharisees.  Other than that, I guess you're correct.  It does me no good unless I load it with enhancements.  Is anyone on RTS?  I'm going to start up playing around May or June, and I could use a solid rival to start me out with. :)

I guess I had a contender before I even posted!  Once I have completed my first official deck, I will play you on RTS, Colin.  I assume you use the same username you use here just as I will?

Also, I can't download RTS right now because my internet computer is Windows Vista and it said that Windows Vista is not compatible with RTS.  We are moving by May 1st and will hook up another Mach computer to the internet so I can play RTS on that computer.  So, prepare yourself, Colin!  :)

Huh.  Strange.  I guess I could try it again.  What happened with me is this:

I downloaded the zip file just as I was supposed to.  Then I copied it onto my desktop.  Then I opened it (obviously :D).  I tried the different icons that seemed to lead me there, but there always seemed to be an error and it said that something wasn't compatible or whatever-I'm just a youngster, so I really don't know that much about that kind of thing.  Do you know what happened?  If so, post as soon as you can, because I would love to play you or Colin on there.

Did you Unzip the folder, or just open it? I dont think the program will run straight out of a Zip file.

*EDIT* Ah, I missed the error messages part. Yeah, make sure you have those files.
