Title: My first crack at the new set
Post by: Chronic Apathy on August 19, 2011, 06:58:44 PM: I'm retiring this deck due to it's inability to perform as I'd have hoped. I really thought using Judge's Seat with Iron Pan would help snipe entire defenses, but the whole deck is just too slow to really perform, and Judges + Prophets don't have much synergy as I'd have expected. All in all a very big disappointment, as I had high hopes for it.

Post by: Professoralstad on August 20, 2011, 11:46:53 AM: I'd say in order for Judges to shine, they really need the two new Angels. With Angel Under the Oak, if you exchange him for Jair, you get a CBI draw 4. And with Angel with the Secret Name, you can still get Jair, and use a CBN Samson's Sacrifice, which is even more awesome with Iron Pan. The best part is you can easily get Jair back with either of the two Angels.

I agree that Judges/Prophets probably won't be too effective, at least not until the new Deborah comes out.

Post by: Lamborghini_diablo on August 20, 2011, 12:15:47 PM: Yeah, judges and prophets don't have much synergy. Also, Ezekiel is pretty bad in my opinion. He's pretty much just to hold Iron Pan. Isaiah is far better as a hero.

Agreed,
but if you're really looking for a a green splash you can't go wrong with Hosea/Micah/Habakkuk.

You've got enough Babs to make playing Drawn Sword/Forest Fire easy.
