I really like this approach.  How do you protect Paul from capture if they IOJ or Destructive Sin Obadiah's Caves?  Or is Paul immune to those cards?

I saw this in there, but how soon can you activate it?  What stops an opponent from capturing Paul and then quickly burying him or rescuing him with their own SOG?

If they do that, they get props for doing so. Most of the time SOG/NJ has been played long before they deck out.

an Alter of Ahaz might help. I'd switch it for Hidden Treasures.

Turnidge. And yes, I'll never forget the first time I played against a deck with no Evil Characters. And lost.

Neither will I. Sadly he doesn't play anymore or we'd have a win/loss record for heroless vs defenseless. ;)

I did turtle versus offensive-less and won.
I used woman as snares and took out all of his defense in one fell swoop. :)

Oh yeah, that's if I get paired up against it. On a side note, your brothers in the South are getting plenty of practice!  ;)
Plus, the group is growing with about 3+ new people getting into Redemption.

Great to hear! We look forward to future tournaments, especially since there is a new host in town, Deist, over in western FL. We should have a rowdy Florida state tournament this year.  ;)

I'm not sure but if they have DD up and discard Paul then you can't use your healing enhancement.

how does DD discard paul he isnt set aside?
Title: Re: Madness? This is HEROLESS! (Updated)
Post by: galadgawyn on September 06, 2010, 05:25:46 PM
it doesn't.  2 separate steps.  You activate DD and then use something else like CM to discard Paul; traditionally heroless decks would easily deal with CM by healing but in this case DD stops healing cards.

Which is why IAHealing is in here. Also HT would allow me to instead CM.

PETA is commonly confused with a legitimate organization concerned about animals.

I don't have an answer for this.  But...

Harvest Time, Herod's Temple, Herod's Treachery, Hidden Treasures, and Herod's Temple...five commonly-used cards sharing one abbreviation.

...this was worth pointing out

That's because Herod's Temple is 2 cards: It's a card that allows you to save your EC's, and a card that allows you to hold a Temple artifact.

Also, occasionally Heroless decks have to be played without Paul...if a site deck user puts the deck discard LS in a site at an inopportune moment, you may have to rely on a single-colored hero. I have Ends of the Earth in my Heroless (since most of my EC's are Sadducees).

And of course, the Site Guard LS, which is probably the more likely reason.

Or because there's two versions of Herod's Temple--the Fortress and the Site.  :P

With all the new cards that discard curses, and with Nazareth in many decks, is Unknown Nation going to be worth the card slot in a 70 card deck?
