Title: Judges from Arizona, moved to Babylonia
Post by: adotson85 on September 26, 2011, 10:54:12 PM
So I've been using a Sam deck that has been close to unstoppable thus far, so I figured I would make an anti-meta deck that I think would counter Sam/Genesis fairly well. The defense for this deck was pale green at first, but I changed it to Babs. Haven't playtested the deck yet, but figured I'd post it to get/give some ideas. Any questions, comments or concerns are greatly appreciated.

Chaldeans and a Magic Charms might be nice. Maybe take out Saphira and Household Idols. Also, no BF?

Chaldeans ability just isn't that great and I probably won't add Magic Charms with only one magician. I did have it in the pale green version of the defense though as it had balaam, king manessah and egyptian magicians. Sapphira helps stop alot of the popular heroes SA's and is pretty nasty when paired with Deceit of Sapphira. HHI is on the bubble, just trying to figure which 2 of CwD, HHI and RBD work best. I considered Birth Foretold, but decided to try to limit searches due to Naz.

If you added Chaldeans that would give you another magician for charms. Nebby's Pride is an other handy battle winner. You might add that in exchange for whatever artifact or curse you use the least.

It'd probably be more clever if Babylonia was a place. Poor Babylonians getting their country called by the wrong name.

Finally got to playtest this deck. Lots of things I liked and a couple things that weren't so great. First time I've ever used judges and really liked them. I may take out the punisher lost soul and put in the fbtn lost soul. Also, Naz seemed to hurt me. May take it out for something else, just not sure what

Maybe Naz out for BF?

Looked at adding BF, but decided I needed site access more with all the samaria sites being used.

Did you use Household Idols?I feel like it could be substituted for BF.

I did use it most of the game against a TGT deck to ignore MtMoJ. Also used CwD a bit, but it jlooks like I will be using different artifacts in games depending on what kind of deck my opponent is using.

What about RBD?

Rain becomes Dust is probably one of the best curses there is because of all the drawing that's going around.

I didn't really use RBD because I could tell my opponent's strategy didn't involve much drawing, but RBD will be very useful against 90% of decks out there that use alot of drawing abilities.

How useful have you found Ahimelek? Unless I'm missing something I only see one way to band him in post block (Deb's Dir). I would consider dropping Ahimelek and Red David to add Provisions and Green David.

I actually did use Ahimilek to rescue my final lost soul with Deb's Directive. I can recur Deb's Dirrective with battle prayer, but do agree that I could probably cut the red.

Or you could keep the Red and add Bravery of David and maybe Jepthah.
