Grey's best battlewinner is Balaam's Disobedience.  Other nice battlewinners include Tenants Kill the Son*, Gold Shield, and Just a Hireling*.

* Only work with Phars.

Any good cards for Romans
Heavy Taxes, Washing Hands*, Night Raid, & Expelling the Jews all work for Romans.

*Pretty Situational.

Bearing Bad News is my personal favorite. Chains is also fun to use, mainly because of the look on the other players face when you use it. :laugh:

Depends on the gray. Is it Romans, Syrians, or Pharisees? Romans pair well with Syrians. Pharisees are primarily used in quicker, smaller type 1 decks, due to not needing a lot for an effective quick, somewhat consistent block.

Syrians aren't really viable at all. If you want to use them, awesome, but don't get your hopes up for a strong defense. Pharisees are largely agreed upon to be the strongest grey defense, but Romans are still viable, now that they have cards that don't get killed by CoT.
