Title: Gold Gold Advice
Post by: Steakosaurus on September 30, 2011, 09:25:13 PM
 8) I'm making a Good Gold and Egyption deck. Can anyone give me some cards, combos, or any awesome strategies? If you could that would be great. ;)

They really don't have a lot of synergy, honestly. I mean, you can put in "taking egypt's wealth" just for the name. ;)

Is there a better Good Brigade choice (besides blue)?

There are two genesis angels... other than that, not really.

One of the versions of Battle Prayer can recur an evil gold enhancement. Other than that, there isn't much synergy.

It seems to me that there is great synergy if you're game plan is to make the opponent deck out, then take advantage of them in some fashion. Both good gold and evil gold have a number of cards that work well in that style of deck.

Well, he said he was using an Egyptian defense, which made me assume he wouldn't be using Herod Phillip II (I think that's the guy), but I suppose he could still go for Watchful Servant. I just don't know how fun or effective that would be.

Well, there are a few Eyptions ECs and multiple enhancements, including one weopen class, that discard the top card of an opponents deck.

Well, if you're going Gold/Gold, Luke/Herods with a little Egyptian splash would definitely be a good choice.

So is this a sixty three card deck with ls and dominants? Overall looks pretty decent but slow.

What I suggested for the Offense/Defense is 40 cards. That leaves room for all the dominants at a maximum of 56 cards. It would probably still be pretty slow, but it could stay at 50-56 cards.

Well 7 ls, I would include, the hopper means 8 ls. Plus at least ten dominants equals fifty eight cards. So you might want to take two cards out.

A deck like this would be beast or awful depending on what you topdeck. I'll let you in on a little secret: one of the best plays for Gold/Gold is using Lies to make them use your Generous Widow when you have RBD up. They lose 2 cards from hand and topdeck 2 while you lose 2 cards from hand and d2.

I would actually say that Brown/PG is the best deck discard with Gold because King Reheboam can do that every turn CBN, plus give you a D1 and whatever the hero you use does, PG has Dissuading Speech, and you can use Hur with Nazareth to get a D7.

Generous Widow and RBD would be nice. Also, you don't have a Dungeon, so I doubt the Herods will do much.

First of all, what is RBD? and if I add them, what would I replace?
