Title: Genisis/Egypitans?
Post by: LordZardeck on March 21, 2012, 05:34:44 PM
I was told that the fastest defense was genesis Egyptians. Can somebody give me an example of a good egyptian defense? I started building a deck with this, just adding any egyptian card to it. after looking through it, i don't see how it is.

Pharaoh's Baker Draw 3 (with three Genesis Egyptian characters in play)
The Dreaming Pharaoh Draw 3 (with three Genesis Egyptian characters in play)
Pharaoh's Cupbearer Recurs Pharaoh for another D 3
Swift Horses D 3
Egyptian Chariots D 2
7 Years of Plenty D 7 over 7 turns

If you can get them all off, they have the potential to draw 21 cards.

The Dreaming Pharaoh Draw 3 (with three Genesis characters in play)
Pharaoh's Cupbearer Recurs either Baker or Pharaoh for another D 3
Swift Horses D 3
Egyptian Chariots D 2
7 Years of Plenty D 7 over 7 turns

Baker removes himself from the game, so Cupbearer cannot recur him. The Dreaming Pharaoh's identifier states "X" is number of Genesis Egyptians, not Genesis characters. Other than those two remarks, yeah, this is pretty much what a well built Genyptians defense looks like as far as speed goes. Egyptian Magicians can be a d1 if you get lucky or if you use Invoking Terror properly. I also like to use A Slave, then splash in Uzzah, Gomer, and Plot.

Magicians also gives + 1 to Pharaoh. KoT works well here also, with Wonders Forgotten.
