Needs more women. Gardenciples is a bit more than simply throwing TGT in to a disciples deck.
-
so which disciples should i take out? simeon the zelot is really the only one i can think of. what white enhancements should i put in, and for what?
-
I think these are the best disciples to use for GDI:
Phillip
Bart
Matthew
John
Peter
Imo that is all you really need in GDI. Depending on card space you could add more, but they would be mostly for drawing off of FB.
As for the ladies you want to start with the best 5 and maybe lydia if space allows. Then all you have to do is take the big enhancements from both. MlaMG, Reach, Aocp, Pentecost, First Fruits, HiR, Consider the Lilies,...etc And boom GDI!

has anyone really tried doing basically a disciples deck with GT thrown in? does that really work?

People do it all the time. It's just not "gardenciples" :P

Yes, it's very powerful, but I got talked out of using it at Nats.... I should have kept it in.

Who talked you out of it? I distinctly remember being the one to talk you into it.
-
Hobbit. Swapped it out for Lampy.

Yeah, Hobbit talked me out of it too. Deck was undefeated afterward. TGT had a tendency to backfire if you aren't using it to it's fullest potential. Now, well, it'd be a pretty good add.

Yeah, but you ended up placing...

FWIW, I have the advantage of being from Minnesota. The coin flips love Minnesotans.

what would you consider better, gardensiples or disciples with garden tomb thrown in? aslo, how is the defense (or what little of it there is)?

I Love how Hobbit helped Ring Wraith

gardendisciples is better than disciples with TGT thrown in IMHO. If you want to do that you'll want to out most of your disciples stuff for the Garden Girls and their enhancements. This would change you deck a lot though, and I don't know if you want to do that.
Defensively I would out Woman as snares (You might possibly keep her if you change to the garden girls), and Confusion, for Damsel and Forgotten history (or Achan's sin if you want something to ItB). This will give the defense a wee bit more stopping power and another Magician for charms.
EDIT: Invoking Terror might be an interesting add with all your multi-colored magicians.
-
Chaldeans isn't that great, you might get lucky, but otherwise it's like they have no SA. Damsel is a nice pick instead.

I agree that Damsel is better than Chaldeans, though personally I like Egyptian Magicians over Damsel. Side note on Chaldeans though, with as many O.T. decks running around as there are now, they can fairly often snipe Writs (but not enough to justify them here).
-
Egyptian Magicians is only more useful in a deck running Invoking Terror. If he adds that, then I'd say to swap Damsel for EM.
