Title: Gardensciples (Dom Cap)
Post by: Chronic Apathy on December 18, 2011, 03:19:03 PM
I played this deck for two weeks of ROOT, and played a slightly modified version of it at the Chambersburg, PA district tournament that took first in T12P and tied for third in T1MP. I'm retiring it for a while since it's getting boring, but I like so much I definitely might look at picking it up again when the serious tournament season comes around. Any suggestions or thoughts?

I've found First Fruits to be really handy. Is there a reason you went with No need for Spices over magnificat?

Yeah, I wanted to add First Fruits and kept forgetting. I'd probably take NNFS out for it, which I originally went with over Magnificat since it's more likely to win a battle if my opponent is banding.

It seems like you could have issues getting access against a site deck if boat was buried in your deck or if it was discarded with ASA. Did you ever run into sites?

Nope. The only decks that use sites at all are Israelite Royalty decks, and if I do run into one of those with Boat buried (since the vast majority of the time they won't have Assyrian splash), I can turn up the speed with Matt, Susie, and the set-aside enhancements, and rush through the deck quickly.

I've removed the nonsense and bickering from this topic. I pray all of us will think about how our posts might appear to others before we submit them.

I would love to have a match with this against my "balance" deck.  I am very surprised your defense held, makes me wish I had been able to go to the PA tourney.

I've made a few adjustments to the deck since then, but this will probably be what I use for whatever the next tournament is. I'd love to play with you whenever I come down next.
