Title: Garden Tomb Deck
Post by: robm on April 09, 2009, 09:10:10 AM
What is the best defensive to use with TGT Decks?

Also with all the colors that can use TGT should I use mostly multicolored enhancments for my heroes?

I do not have much experience with The Garden Tomb (TGT), but it looks like Pale Green is a fairly common defense to be seen with a TGT offenense.

No, I wouldn't reccoment multicolor enhancements with the TGT deck because you really want battle winners and most multicolor enhancements are not battle winners.

I also rarely use peter or Joanna in my tgt deck.  I always add Lydia and Jepthah in their place.

Enhancements that work well with TGT are:

AoCP
The word Spreads
Reach of desperation
Great Faith
No need for spices
he is risen
Words of encouragement
A child is born

There are only 5 battle winners here ( 2 CBN) so I help boost this with the two white recursion cards (moses and the elders and Lost coin found)

the only real multicolor enhancements I would include might be:
Faith on in our High Priest
and Preaching the Truth

My List of heroes includes some combinationof these:
John (h)
John (Promo)
Mary mother of James
Salome
Lydia
Parmenas
Faithful servant
Jepthah
Widow
Jarius's Daughter

For defense I'd use Women as Snares, Uzzah, suicide ECs, and/or sites.

"Shame" lost soul, Unholy writ, and Thirty Pieces Silver to get rid of their own possible Garden Tomb heroes.  More people these days are throwing John, Peter, etc into their decks just in case they face a Garden tomb deck.  Yes, THEIR heroes can use YOUR Garden Tomb.  Keep this in mind and be wary of your own multi-color defense.  If you go multi-color defense against another Garden Tomb deck, you will likely lose.

Just my opinion though.
