Cool deck! Needs more Reserve. ;)

I would swap Jair for Gideon. Since Gideon searches out Faith, he's essentially a D1 (instead of Jair's D2) and he gets the AutO protection.

I would cut one of GC/RBD/Signet Ring since you can only have one of them active at a time.

Beyond that, I'm not sure what I would cut--possibly Desecrate the Temple since less than half your ECs can use it.

I read that article this morning, I love how the reserve is going to work. Great job to all of you guys coming up with these fantastic ideas. I am looking forward to seeing how the new set impacts my reserve selection.

I do like the Jair for Gideon swap, I am leaning toward cutting Signet Ring out of those three, and I could stand to lose Desecrate the Temple. It always works much better in theory than in practice.

Now that I'm not on my phone, I'll elaborate. With The Watchman in your main deck, there's not really any drawback to putting a few Major/Minor prophets in the Reserve. In the event that you face a situation where one of them would be really useful you can grab him!

Jeremiah (negates protection)
Daniel (negate like a boss and counters Nebuchadnezzar)
Hosea (anti-O.T. banding and Gomer)
Obadiah (anti-pale green)
Micah (recursion baby!)
Nahum (anti-panel green and Site access)
Habakkuk (negate protection and discards warriors)
Zechariah (negates N.T. EEs but is outclassed by Daniel)

That's quite to toolbox to have available!

Wow, when you think about it like that the reserve is REALLY going to change the game. That ability to grab what you need is going to allow for a lot of interesting battles.

I could definitely see myself using some combination of Daniel / Micah / Habbakkuk / Nahum in the reserve.

I'd be tempted to post my own Watchman deck, but it's so full of spoilers it would never get through uncensered. ::)

What I can say to you is that I don't really feel comfortable not running Christian Martyr with this kind of spread defense. An early FBTN angel can quickly get 1 or 2 free souls if you don't have Nebby/Hypocrisy/Dissension.

I'd recommend Treasures o' War (CoW) in a deck like this rather than DoN. It frees up a dom slot for the aft-mentioned CM or possibly Grapes. I know you have Moses, but he's not always around, and often I find myself holding on to Treasures to use immediately rather than having it sit vulnerable in territory.

I might swap Armorbearer with Strong Angel (wa).

I really like this deck! Another consideration; this defense would be brutal with more side battle cards. If you were to make this a dedicated side battle offense with Hidden Treasures, more green, and more defensive cards to take advantage of side battles, I could see it being pretty successful.

Gabe is absolutely right about Reserve; Micah and Hosea seem perfect for that. There are another couple green cards I could see going into a lot of prophet decks' Reserves, depending on how easy they would be to get when needed...

I like CM, but I've played a lot of games without it and don't miss it all that much.

You mentioned Nebby/Hypocrisy/Dissension

I also have CBP Lost soul and drawn sword. But in all honesty, I did not think about TSA when building this deck so I will keep play-testing to see if it turns out to be more of a problem.

I like your idea of taking out don to get CM in the deck and if I did take it out it would be for faith of abel.

I have armorbearer because I can band Sam - armorbearer - Moses / Benaiah give me 10/10 FBN with 2 heroes in battle and the ability to play green/gold CBP/CBN Enhancements.

I also like that I can band to David / King saul when playing against a throne or 1 Sam offence.

In regard to the side battles I don't want to completely change the deck, it's a lot of fun as is, but I do appreciate you pointing out the trouble it may have with the Strong Angel...and the means to add CM.

Have you tried playing this at 57 cards?  I've had a lot of success with my 57 card deck recently.  You are already at 52, so you get to add 5 cards, 1 of which is a LS and 1 of which is a Dom.  It's at least worth testing.

I haven't tried it at 57 yet, I thought about it, but it isn't all that fast. I almost always run 52 cards in my decks. I try to get 2 extra battle winners in the deck with the last 2 cards.

I might give it a run at 57. If I did what would you add?

Edit: I added two bears because I found I needed an interrupt and I switched eli's sound advice for Benaiah Snatches a spear because I only had 1 tabernacle priest (Aaron) and I couldn't play Eli's sound advice off of benaiah.

Benaiah Snatches a spear has been awesome as it serves as a Cbn negate to play on Moses / Benaiah.

This has brought me to 53 cards, but it hasn't seemed to make any difference.
