Obviously we have a couple options I'd like to know y u support the defense you do

Standalone characters with a plot
Pharisee
Emperors
Herod's
Egyptians
Babs
Philly's
Demon
Canaanites
Evil Kings
Assyrian
Syrian
Heretics
Sadducees
Persians

Or any specific combination you like

Personally I find a combo of Egyptians and Herod's to be pretty nasty and would probably have to be my vote
But I'd like to hear everyone out on their case for a specific defense

You forgot Magicians. They fit my playstyle the best if you are open to using ALL of their card pool they are extremely versatile when used as a large defense. They are even good as a small defense since many of the new ones are dual brigade.

I don't know how I forgot them because they basically are the most played defense right now lol

You are right.

I would like to see a multiple generics rule get played out in ROOT sometime in hopes that i get use both EM's to reveal and play invoking terror twice in a battle lol don't know y I wanna do that so bad it just seems fun and tough for the opponent deal with lol

My favorite is bahs. They can rip apart both offence qnd defence of your opponent. And you can get rid of sog out of there deck. It just devesates people.

IF you have a TGT deck there is only one option that beets all the other in my opinion. it is a sechem defense. This defense can take on lone heroes banding fbtn no problem there is almost no way to stop it except wearing it down in one area. the problem is by then i should have one with my garden girls.

Red has in nailed.  Small splash defenses are the best type.  Small splash defenses are designed differently than other defenses.  Their main objective is not to stop the opponent from rescuing, but to help you win.  They consist of several small blocks that can be used to stall, but all it is is stalling for the offense to win first.  These defenses include drawing first and foremost (Damsel, sabbath breaker, vittles).  Next they include soul generation (survivor, slave).  After that they include simple blocks. (dou, baalam's disobedience, plot, and of course Uzzah).  So the goal of a meta defense is to not only stall until until you win but to help you get there with drawing, soul gen, and possibly a plot.  So, these defenses are best because they help you win.

This defense has some speed to it but if you don't get 3 rescues in your first 5 turns your in trouble

How hard is that exactly? That defense actually does get blocks BTW.

I've become more and more convinced that there are better options than standalone. Most of the best offenses (with the possible exception of Gardensciples) can be cut to allow a 15 card defense, which is large enough to instead focus on an actual defense. Herods have always been great against splash, but they have a weakness against TGT.

The one reason my dislike for Thaddeus is just that, dislike, instead of outright hatred, is that Thad is the anti-whatever this defense is.  So many low-defense characters...  Most wouldn't even survive CoT.

Then if you wanna get fancy add in ishbonob(I don't know the spelling sorry)
