Well, this is what I would do. ---
I would mix the Greeks + the Philli's.
That shoud give ya a powerful enough defense for ya. ;)
But, ya might wanna get second opinions on it!

If you want a small but effective defense i would either go with phillies or babylonians. I am in the midst of making a philly defence and ive only played against some and i kno they are very annoying especially to a garden tomb deck(as you can block by using philly outpost with only one person in your territory) but i also really like babs as they usually always get some nice stops
-
Use a Philistene site-lock defense. I've heard that these defenses pwn.
-
Go Egyptians to discard their deck and capture, but I'm just saying that because nobody has mentioned them yet. ;D All of these Big Ds are solid. Play each one and find the one you enjoy playing most and then tweak it some more. That is what is so fun about Redemption.
Godspeed,
Mike

For a tournament deck I would either go with Phillistines or Babylonians. Egyptians can be very good and fun, but usually require alot of cards to be effective. It just depends on your personal preference and how many cards you want your defense to be. If you want a smaller defense then go with Phillys.

I'm just seeing what everybody prefers. Im trying to go to Nats and if I do,I want to have an effective defence.
My offence is top-notch already.
-
For nationals I would recommend Babs, Phillys or Stand Alone. Other defenses can be effective, but require alot of time and effort to perfect, Abom for example. The ones I listed are 3 of the strongest and most user friendly defenses.

Thank you

Egyptians are awesome. Great for raider's camp and deck discard.
Babylonians I think are the best defense in the game. They have great protect fort and awesome characters and is the most well rounded
Sadducees are pretty cool. They rely on soul manipulation and getting inititive.
Greeks are cool. They can tear apart a deck with a-bomb.
Philistines are cool. Bunch of negates, interrupts, cool abilities. Very versitile. Just do a straight d or do a site lock out. I would pair the site lock out with the new texp silver heroes and have a go.
Take your pick XD

Cool thanks, the Egyptians are my favorite for the deck discard.
I'll try them all.

If you want a defense for nationals then just go to a high quality regionals and see what defense woops your tooshy every time you play, then play with it if you think it's the best. Also I would almost not recommend straight Babs, straight Phillies, or Phillies/Greeks because that is the top 3 defenses that every single player uses right now. I would mix it up, try out other stuff and see what works to your playing style. The winner of this years nationals, on both categories type 1 and 2, will have to be able to consistently beat a Phillies lock out, straight babs, or Philles/A-bomb deck, because that is what is going to be played by the majority. And I GUARANTEE you that the winner of nationals is gonna have an offense that can shred through those defenses, I know I will focus on getting by those defenses at least.

I wouldn't try other combos until you try them straight stuff so you know why it works and how it works. That way once you understand, then you can find ways to abuse it xp

That sounds fun!

I would try out any babs and eygptian defence. That what I use for one of my decks, it wins most of the time.
