Hi there,

just wanted to ask what do you think about a concept instead of a theme which in turn involves several brigades without multicolor heroes/ECs?
Example: Combine defenders who have a common ability like immunity: One is immune against human heroes, one is immune to lone heroes (combined with HH Idols and others), one is immune against NT heroes etc. - so at the end immunity is the concept but no theme or combo is behind. Drawback: Having at least 3+ brigades and not having appropriate enhancements ready to hand if necessary (even though if several multicolor enhancements are included).

What do you think about this example or the general idea? Do you have any suggestions how to reasonable set up such kind of decks/defenses/offenses?

This issue I have come across whenever I thought about something like this is that in Redemption, every kind of ability has very strong counters and it is virtually impossible to set up a scenario where one concept can win the game, especially on defense. The only decks with this strategy I have known to be successful are turtle decks with an offense that tries to set up an unstoppable rescue, such as decking an opponent and attacking with Watchful Servant. The only defensive concept that could do something similar to this is site lock, but these days that is basically impossible even if the whole deck is built around the idea. I personally like making and playing these decks a lot, but in the current state of Redemption, I don't see an all eggs in one basket kind of deck being competitive.

One idea I tried in T2 once (and have considered trying in T1) is a "Hero elimination" strategy. The deck would be focused on the "remove all" cards such as Achan's Sin, Korah's Rebellion and Joseph in Prison. The goal of the defense is to remove most (if not all) of the opponent's Heroes from the game. Other mass discard cards (Wrath of Satan/Haman's Plot) could be used in conjunction with Ashtaroth Worship to make sure Heroes in the discard pile cannot be recurred.
