Hey Caleb. Great deck. I don't know as much as a ton of the people on this site, but I would like to know your strategy in creating the deck. That might give me a chance to improve. But you probably won't be able to expect any advice from me-as you already know, I'm just a beginner!

So Caleb is off of defense-lite and onto hero-lite. *sigh* ::)

If his offense is strong enough to win, IMO that's a good thing. It looks really small to me, but if it ends up getting 5 souls per game, it's enough. If not, he can always add some more cards if he finds his offense or defense lacking.
I would be wary of using all (except The Terrifying Beast) royalty for defense though, as King David will be able to walk right through for lost souls, unless I'm missing something. Also, you have no female or NT Heroes, which isn't an insurmountable disadvantage, but it seems silly to me to limit your rescuing options from the start. Is your offense usually enough to win? I'm just a bit wary of using such a small offense with such a small defense, as your defense can only buy you so much time to set up rescue attempts. Have you played with it much yet? I'm very interested to hear how this deck performs, I like the look of it.

I think this deck is to light on the offense. You need at least one more battle winner (plague of frogs?) True, Micha will reccur at least one, but you will waste a turn doing so. You need some punch and all you have now is provisions and two bears (with visions being a possible indirect battle winner). With no guardian and a small offense, you WILL lose a LS to FA while you wait for everything to set up so you will have to earn 6 LS total to win.
I also like playing green with midwives (w) because she brings back all the prophets from the d/c pile back into your territory, no waiting around. With her and chariot, you can be a little more aggressive and maybe pick up an extra LS while they are unprepared.
-
Blessings for Obedience would be a good battle winner in this deck.

no actually I'm just bored these days and making decks I still love me some 50 card ultra heroe/defenselite decks

completely missed this so heres the strategy:
wait until late in the game when you actually have your full offense in hand or play then just attack and attack
(this really isn't my styleif you look at some of my other posted decks(the Royalty one is my Tourney deck but shhh no-one knows) you'll see I'm a speed player and a Offensive player with hardly any defense
-
Sweet idea! Spectacular! I can tell with Son of God, New Jerusalem, and top cards like Baalam's Disobedience that you are on a roll! Great deck once again!

Plague of frogs would be a must. Womens midwives would be an ABSOLUTE BEAST. If anything, swords into plowshares can be negated unless played on Micah; Benaiah snatches a spear would probably be better, as it can't be negated. I'm not trying to discourage Hidden treasures, but it's a good way to get your heroes killed in a chattle ballenge, because they will block you. Can you say KING DAVID? he would eat this deck in 2 seconds. :'( maybe put in sabbath breaker and some non-royalty. If Rome is somehow killed and emp. Galba is gone, you're dead.

...Emperor Tiberius?

more the merrier but I'll kill them for plague and midwives

Okay... is this deck a joke?
You have a 1 in 10 chance of getting an evil character. The same for a good character, and the same for enhancements to go with them. So how do you expect to attack and defend?
-
You don't need Miraculous Handkerchiefs with Chariot of Fire around, and Burial Shroud in a fast deck is just plain silly. Cut for Sabbath Breaker and Expelling the Jews. Then add Panic Demon and Benaiah to better utilize Provisions, leaving your deck at 52, which won't hurt your drawing much.

Yeah, especially for defensive decks, you do not need to have only 50. Add some characters and bump it up to 56 at least.
-
IMO, use as much offense as is necessary (and I mean use the smallest offense you can and consistently win), and then keep adding defense until you have 56 cards at least.
-
well this was purely a fun deck and it flopped oh well
-
Hey, it didn't flop! Don't take criticism too hard. It was a great deck. It just needs a little improvising.
-
Nah, I think it's good. If you wanna see a deck that flopped, look at my "Creation Deck". lol. It's simply not necessary to always have 50 cards.
