Son of God is the only God card in the game. ;)

Gomer
Wandering Spirit
Spirit of Temptation
King of Tyrus (doesn't band, but after a CBN string, he's beastly)
King Manasseh (with Gates of Jerusalem to make him CBN)

Fallen Angel isn't bad either. There's also pale green, but it's not very good.

The linchpins of a banding defense are SWS, SoT, King Manasseh, Gomer, and WS. Other points of interest include Salome, HA2, Lot's Wife, and the Fearsome Philistine Foursome.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Not sure why the Phillies would be included in a banding deck, other than CBN banding to 12FG (which is AWESOME).

I can't believe I forgot SWS. He's uber.

Assyrian Archer and Rabsaris can also be used for banding, but pale green isn't very good...

The four giants can haz Midianite Attack, Bringing Fear, Devourer, Namaan's Ride, Phillie's Ride, Begging for Grain, Dream, Moses Kills Egyptian, Denying Blame, JiP as a last resort, Stiff-Necked, and probably a few others I'm forgetting. They're sort of their own kind of banding deck, I didn't really mean to put them in with the others mentioned.

Goliath is the missing piece of the puzzle for the Philistine defense I've been wanting to build for years. Ultimate versatility.

The only problem I have with this defense is the serious brigade mismatch.

If you dont get ashdod quickly, or it gets nuked..... you could be in serious trouble.

Perhaps, but it would be in a small deck. Ashdod is really just the glue, as the giants themselves give big enough numbers to not need Enhancements much of the time, and once you get PO you get any one of them.

Demons are great for banding because if you are defeated once you don't lose anyone. (assuming your using the key cards like gates of hell and wandering spirit)

Solid banding is meh. A Tier (what I mentioned) with back up. When it's pretty much reliant on banding, C Tier (Panic Demons...).

If done right I think that a demon banding defense is the strongest defense there is. most of the key battle winners are only able to kill a couple of characters but if you can band in enough characters then you will cause them to use up all of their enhancements, you can just sit and laugh knowing there is nothing they can do to win. Then you just need the right offense.

Wandering spirit is absolutely necessary. Other nice ones are KOT, Spirit of temptation, Evil Spawn, Seven Wicked Spirits, and Strong Demon. You probably want to have a few humans too like seven sons, gomer, and King Menassa, in case your opponent uses three nails. You want a lot of generic demons and possibly try the panic demon chain as well as a legion chain.

In my deck I have 56 cards and only found need for three enhancements, Deceiving spirit, evil armor, and worshiping demons. Remember if Wandering spirit is in battle when you play Deceiving spirit, it goes beneath your deck after battle since it's a demon. I have a few more in there but they are really just used for Golgotha. Also you probably want a small offense. Most of my deck is evil cards. I have heard people say that this type of deck works well with 150 cards but I can't figure out how to speed through it enough. My deck works well and is second best in my playgroup and isn't too far off from being the best. (still have a little ways to go)

Also I would recommend having a Darius Decree to prevent someone from using ET to AOC on you. The only real problems I have found with demons are that there are no protect fortresses and three nails. Having Wandering Spirit in battle is as good as good as, if not better than, having a protect fortress. Golgatha, Destruction, and Seven Sons are good to have in your deck to stop three nails right away because it can easily destroy your deck if you can't get rid of it.

yeah Three Nails was one heck of a problem in Teams on Friday, thanks for building a deck that was decimated by one card :P

The problem was that I don't know how to use demons for a teams deck. I now know both decks need more counters for that artifact or have one defense be mostly humans. If I was able to test it out a couple of times I probably would have realized that.

If you band Wandering Spirit to Spirit of Temptation to Gomer to the generic Sadducee you'll have a CBN band that's 13 on defense. The biggest character is 12 and your band can't be negated so you'll win, kthx.

Three Nails is useless for virtually every season, thanks to the general lack of sole demon defenses and relative strength of other artifact possabilities.

I ran it in my TGT deck last year - Because it covered a weak spot - the deck was primarily conversion based to counter Philistines - so Three Nails covered the lack of true demon killers.
