how many of you agree? i would like to hear from you guys. I believe this and will continue to but i am just wondering what ur thoughts are. Thankz
-
I disagree.
51 cards is much better than 50. Fifty implies that you're going speed, with very little defense, 51 says speed, with Haman's Plot. Best example is Gabe going 6-1 at Regionals at 50 then 8-0 at Natz with the same deck+Plot.
-
51 is probably a bit better, but if you don't use HP, then 50 works too.
Besides speed, 56 is the best.
-
I agree, 50 is best.
-
50 is best.
-
Correction 51 says u want to use the deck again next round 8) 50 says ur way too kool to have 51 in ur deck so itz 50 and u just make 3 copies of it and never use the last plot. just sayin. 50 is king if u want to win
-
Until I play Taking Egypts Wealth, and then procede to rip your plot against you, making your deck illegal.
-
63 is the best. If you can get those decks drawing right you have more then enough cards to out last a 51. Beating people with 77 card decks is one of my favorite past times ;D I also have a saying that if you cant make the deck any smaller make it twice as big ;)
-
some 50's dont even use hamans plot.
interesting question though...what if a player entered a tournament with only one 50 card deck including hamans plot, and as RDT described, steals it from them and rips it? is that player disqualified from the tourney because they dont have a back-up deck?
-
Most judges will not allow a HP in a 50 card deck. If it is ripped, you are instantly disqualified, even if it is in the middle of a game. In order to rip HP, you MUST have 51+. So, putting HP in a 50 card deck is worthless as you will lose if you rip.
-
no, you will not instantly lose if you rip it in a 50 card deck. you're just not allowed to use the deck again after the game you ripped it in.
-
MKC is right. Legality is determined before each game, it isn't an ongoing process. You can finish a game with a 49 card deck, you can't start a new one.
-
Bah, I'll stick with my current 100+ deck. ;) I have more defensive cards than you have in your entire deck.
-
nice but u won't get too see too many of those :) i think u night see like 20-23 of those. I love the idea of making a 100+ card deck productive. but it is just too hard with the draws killing u every turn
-
Heh, I tend to draw 2-3 EC's on the d8 with my deck... I think i'll last longer than that. ;)
My tactic is to win by not allowing you to win.
-
ok 26-29 cards lol yea i've played with one of those b4 there fun too work with. I destroyed my system of organization making one hahah too many ideas lol but props too you on working with one...and keeping ur sanity "assuming u have" :P
-
The sanity has been replaced with madness a long time ago. :)
The one I'm using definately works, I just need to work on making it work within time limits.
-
My tactic is to win by not allowing you to win.
That's unpossible! ;)

XD
I think it is all personal preference. I do NOT like using 50 card decks. Sorry but my 70 card deck has = your offense in defensive cards alone, let alone artifacts. Honestly, offense isn't stronger, it just has more cards ;)
-
Hey,
I think 50 cards gives you the best chance of winning only if you are unable or unwilling to build a defense that can hold opponents out long enough to get you through your deck. If you use an adequate defense then I believe a 56 card deck gives you a better chance of winning.

50 cards decks
-Draw better
-faster doms
- faster "Punch"
but
-loose hard to deck counters (heavy defense decks or specfic strats)
56 cards don't have such hard counters but at the same time loose faster decks
basicaly
50 cards = paper
56 cards = rock
defense deck = scisors

Really? Is it possible to make a deck illegal by taking someone's enhancement or character from them? For example, the enhancement Praising Him Moon takes a character away from a person's hand. Does this make a deck immediately illegal?
-
no, you will not instantly lose if you rip it in a 50 card deck. you're just not allowed to use the deck again after the game you ripped it in.
MKC is right. Legality is determined before each game, it isn't an ongoing process. You can finish a game with a 49 card deck, you can't start a new one.
I was incorrect, these are the correct posts. So, no, that wouldn't work.

That's probably good. It still would have been interesting to learn of another way to win games.

Only if you steal Haman's Plot and then use it against a 50-card deck. Everything else that is "stolen" over the course of the game goes back into its owner's deck afterward.

I agree. If I remember correctly the deck is still legal for the current game if you rip haman's plot in a 50 card deck, but is not legal to begin a new game with. Therefore, other enhancements such as Praise Him Moon would not make the deck illegal.

Defenantly!
