Redemption celebrates it's 7th annual South Texas PowWow 2025!!!
https://www.stxroyalrangers.com/powwow/

11-13 April 2025 (Camp Williams)

***BLESSINGS AND MANY THANKS TO COMMANDER CHAD HUTSON FOR MAKING REDEMPTION PART OF STXRR POWWOW***

.

This year's STX PowWow inspirational and devotional speaker will be the great Cmdr. Rev. Jeremiah Hembree who is the Royal Rangers International director. Cmdr. Jeremiah endorses and plays Redemption!!!

HIGHLIGHTS:
Nick (10), new RR Redemption demo team member, teaching a camper. His brother looks at the camera w a big smile like last year. This younger brother Noah (6) had to correct his older brother about drawing 3 cards per turn and not 1, lol. It's a fun and painful learning process mastering this game... y'all know...

Nick on a roll teaching the game to another new player at camp while another camper watches before his turn to learn the game comes. His brother looks at the camera w a big smile like last year.

We always expect the storm of new RR Redemption gamers after Friday night worship w no other than Rev. Cmdr. Jeremiah Hembree who himself is a Redemption gamer apart from heading Royal Rangers International.
Meanwhile, Nick teaches his 3rd new player in a row while one standing awaits his turn after tonight's devotional.

Quiet...before the storm...with demo team member Nick.

Friday night worship service...this is the sea...the field...where new Redemption gamers r born...

A unique characteristic of the RR in my opinion is that they bring the game to their families, outposts, and churches. Lots have not been to tournaments.

For a couple years now I have been converting my tailgate at STXRR PowWow into an instant storefront that's an improvement from each previous year.  This set up is easy to unplug from electricity, unhook merchandise, push the display grille in, close the tailgate, cover my vehicle...for next day use.

For those who are not aware, we had and still have a gaming host shirt project where a couple of seller patches r available to be supplied thru TLG. I have been wearing my shirt at all Redemption seed-plantibg events such as the annual STXRR PowWow.

Demo team member Nick showing off his sleeved complete Redemption decks he himself assembled to play w his dad.

Little Noah about to pick his tournament participation promo.

Bro vs Bro I/J Starter Deck T1 battle. Little bro learns painfully to beware of Vain Philosophy that discarded his SoG lol.

Slow afternoon thus far as all the guys r in field activities. But steady flow of learners. God is good.

Great commander and Redemption enthusiast posing by the demo tent:

I was told I could not speak on behalf of Redemption this year. I did NOT expect the reason why....after 7 years of loving to teach this game to this amazing group at their annual camp, they lovingly surprise me with this....honor...so blessed!!! Thank you RRs...BUT many thanks belong to all of you for embracing Redemption as an activity in your organization! Love y'all.

The sea or field of PowWow2025 campers (lots of them new & several may not have joined the photo shoot and stayed under the tree shade) --- the sea or field of RRs from where as many would have learned Redemption or at the least own Redemption giveaways by the week's end. God has done it again at this camp!

Cmdr John, who attended one of my Redemption classes at Leadership Training couple of years ago, practices w Jayce who finally decided to learn the game. Jayce had been assisting me at PowWow Redemption HQ since a couple of years ago but never played til this weekend.

Jayce is the younger brother of Harrion (who will be remembered in STXRR history for teaching No 1 (Cmdr Jasone Bone) the game at PowWow 2021 on his 10th birthday.

Saturday dusk worship service led by RR International boss Rev. Jeremiah Hembree. He briefly shares his own experience collecting and playing Redemption.

The rest of the night Redemption at PowWow2025....

MISSED YOU SORELY CMDR RILEY!!!

On behalf of Camp Williams director Cmdr Chad Hutson, on behalf of all pioneering commanders who have supported and taught the game here at PowWow and beyond, and on behalf of the godfather of South TX and South Central Region Royal Ranger Redemption, Cmdr Ken Porter --- I and my Royal Rangers Redemption demo team members say many many many thanks and blessings to everyone who has learned and embraced the game here at PowWow since 2019.

****THANK YOU STXRR DIRECTOR CMDR JASON BONE FOR YOUR PRICELESS BLESSING TO REDEMPTION THRU YOUR ROYAL RANGERS. THE REDEMPTION COMMUNITY PRAYS FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION'S AMAZING DESTINY. ****

Please pray for this old man for renewed energy, enough rest from Nats2025, travel mercies, wisdom, and more Redemption harvest as I embark on my journey to Houston as I teach the game to Royal Ranger commanders at their annual eadership conference this Fri/Sat.
EDGE – South Texas Royal Rangers

Please pray for the Royal Rangers as they keep on playing the game as a treasured part of their activities especially at their PowWows.

Pray for Travis M who is currently based in Thailand for his HVAC-related career but has made sure he attended Nats2025 and is hoping to be at all forthcoming Nats during his vacations back home in San Antonio TX. Travis has historically taught more than 1000 Royal Ranger kids from South TX and OK at their events.

I faithfully and prayerfully prohesy that one day ALL Royal Ranger outposts in the WORLD WILL embrace Redemption as one of their regular weekly activities as well as in ALL their conferences and camps including Camporama and Bundescamp.

MY SOUTH TEXAS RR EDGE2025 EXPERIENCE:

First thing's first: I honor my very first Redemption at STX PowWow demo team leader Joe Schaefer (former RR).

Redemption has been featured annually at EDGE since 2018.

EDGE2025 info: HERE
VENUE:
North Central Church
25130 Aldine Westfield Rd, Spring, TX 77373

Guess who's come to help me set up Redemption at this event and even helped me demo on Day 1!!!

Wednesday night let up competed!

Commander Jason Bone: South TX RR boss and Redemption gamer...

One of my core RR Redemption demo team members, Harrison G, who was barely 8 when he started teaching the game with me at the RR PowWow, on his 10th birthday in 2021 (now 14) taught the Cmdr Jason the game for the first time. Our very own Travis Matthews who taught more than a thousand at PowWows etc is his 'master'. I wud love to see Travis & Harrison one day at a Nats side event I intend to launch as an annual event at Nats2026: The 1st Annual Master-Padawan Teams Booster Draft. Harrison's brother (right) learned how to play Redemption at last year's PowWow after just lurking and helping set up the Redemption tent for a couple of years. God is unleashing His miracles for Redemption...indeed. God is good.

Travis Matthews --- holds a record for teaching more than a thousand Royal Rangers....thus far...

THE MASTER AND LEGEND is helping me teach the game today as demo team leader. The paper mats are his design. He has kept his Redemption fire burning at his church. Just like the RRs, Redemption Master Jedi Pastor Travis Brown is actively living the game without hosting or being at tournaments...for now...til he comes back from his competitive hiatus.

The Commander who made it happen for his sons. He is one of the numerous Redemption parents in history whose love for the game is cheering for and driving their children to the games. All hail to you Commander Anthony Gregory!

Jase G w his newly-gained Redemption Godfather the legendary Travis Brown -- It took Jase a couple of years as a non-playing Redemption 'staff' at STX PowWow before ultimately embracing the game as a player at this year's PowWow. A "CLASSIC" interview with Jase😅🤣😂:

WHAT!!! WHAT!!! WHAT!!! ???

And no... I'm not giving that card to you, boys!!!

(Now) Commander Brian Horne (20)  --- one of my all-time original STXRR Four who I taught the game and helped me grow the game when he was just 13. I honor the other 3 --- Ellis Jason Campbell, Jaylon Arnold, and Matthew Russell. Love you guys.

Jared and Travis, your Redemption Godson is now 14 and in full RR uniform! He was 10 when he celebrated his birthday with you at PowWow2021. He still cherishes ur gift of a whole box of idk what set you gave Harrison.

Redemption dad!!!

Commander Chris Moses -- mentor for the outpost which is home to the 'infamous' Eaten by Worms Gang. Vid below shows the 'gang' about 7 years younger (?).
https://youtube.com/shorts/-psicUOoV-I?feature=share

(Now) Commander Riley Musil -- Eaten by Worms Gang leader and mastermind of the vid above. Riley has finally embraced Redemption as a game player a couple of years ago. The rest of the gang still need to start playing the game.

And...OF COURSE...the reason, together with Commander Ken Porter (Redemption gamer and the reason South Central RR Redemption was born), this amazing Commander, brother, and friend has for the past 7 years blessed the Redemption community with more than 1000 Royal Ranger youth and commanders who have learned the game at his STX PowWow events at Camp Williams (who were mostly taught by our very own Travis Matthews) --- your Redemption family will forever bless and thank you....Commander Chad Hutson (Redemption gamer) --- WE LOVE YOU!!!

My great brother and friend Rev. Frank Frazar preaching the banquet's devotional. His unforgettable son Jayce (now 12 and RRRedemptoion demo team member) was barely 7 when he dared play Booster Draft at one of the PowWows years ago, and his dad allowed him to play thru the wee hours of the night together with Commander Royce A and Royce's son, my Redemption Godson Noah A.

See you next soon Master Jedi RRRedemption Teacher...

And when you come back to your RRs, Harrison will be almost 15 and Jase his brother 13 and now playing the game himself! Here they are, your kids, all grown up!!!

And of course the dynamic duo Commanders Jeffrey and Lori Stokes -- who since the great Damon Barber stepped down as events coordinator (he set Redemption up as an EDGE event in 2018), Jeff has been tirelessly setting me up for major STXRR events that perfectly fit in Redemption: Pinewood Derby, EDGE, and now the upcoming (held every 4 years) National Camporama 2026 (very similar to the BSA National Jamboree). I missed 2022 but our STX and OK RRs made sure it happened for Redemption at Camporama2022 led by Commanders Royce A (TX) and Chris S (OK) --- love you and miss you my brethren. Both commanders were/are Redemption retailers.

Missed you sorely at EDGE and STXRR, Commander John Squires -- avid fan and Redemption promoter and supporter.

Missed you sorely at EDGE2025 Commander Ken Porter ('Santa' in red shirt) --- you ARE the prime most reason why STXRR Redemption and RR SCentral Redemption were born!!!

EDGE2025 leadership conference last day starts w a devotional from Commander Pastor Bob Jensen. My conservative estimate is that half of these commanders have embraced the game or have at least learned it. We pray and declare that, at day's end, the other half (mostly new attendees) would have at the least learned about the game when I make my 3-minute spiel onstage (yes Redemption elder team, u heard it right, just 3 minutes!), tried out the game, or embraced the game at their outposts from tonight onwards.
