After drawing King Saul (evil) I find him pretty useless. Has anyone used the evil shuffle LS to shuffle him back in for another Sam draw?
-
He can play Plot. Or Gib Trick, He's also protected by Gates if you want to play a defense. There's much better souls that you can have. Especially since the chances of you drawing it after you've drawn him are so low.

I just draw two and search for Saul with Sam and then use King Amazing for a free rescue.

At 8/4 with no decent SA, I've never won a battle with him. Sure I had Plot, but so many heroes get easy inish against him.

I've also used him to get a GiC block.

I find King Saul useful as long as Abner or Michal is out otherwise I use him as a suicide bomber

I like him for two things:
1) To feed Bronze Laver so I can get a better card and search him out with Sam.
2) To add to play (via Sam) when purple King Saul is already in play, discard evil King Saul and place Hormah (plus two souls hopefully) under my deck.

And its interesting as being able to perform activity 2 is being questioned over in the Ruling Questions section. Check it out here (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/ruling-questions/can-you-have-king-saul-%28good%29-and-king-saul-%28evil%29-both-in-your-deck/15/) Go save the Sam deck! ::)
