I'm guessing you're trying to build a deck around both AoC and WoS?

Do you mean combos like Babel with Joseph in Prison?

Good luck getting initiative after playing Babel.  ;)

Just think - You have a 1/3 Pharisee that will almost definitely have initiative; you block and play Babel to band in all your opp's EC's; hopefully, preferably, one of those EC's will have a ITB, play next enhancement on him (or maybe Jeering Youths would work), and so you can use it to play a battle-winner; your opponent will want to negate, and when he does, you can use JiP to not only win the battle, but completely eliminate your opp's defense.

YES! :amen: ftw

But if, for some reason, they have a backup plan, you need one too.  So, having a devourer would help.  If they try to negate JiP, you just play it.  It interrupts and discards it, which is basically the same as negating and discarding it; it can't reactivate from the discard pile.

Placing breastplate of righteous on saint of virtue; it's like having 2 ET's in your deck, and you're immune to crimson right away.  It helps in case you run into a crimson deck. :)

I thought of that combo all by myself! ;D Although...just having ET is a better idea. :-\

Or you could set aside Saint of Virtue with Training In Righteousness and place Spiritual Warfare on him.  ;)

Wait...do you have to use TiR to do that?

Spiritual Warfare is silver/green.  Saint of Virtue is purple.  You have to find some way to let him use enhancements from one of those 2 brigades.

I used that in a 'destruction before the block' deck I built for quad. Mass territory destruction before anyone could block.

Well, I can't imagine what cards you would use. :-\ Almost all the good pre-battle player cards are post-Priest, like Hidden Treasures, Jacob, etc. So what for example did you use in this deck?

E.t., The combo you said, Ctb to do territory destruction, etc.

It was probably pretty good.  Back then people probably weren't expecting it as much and there certainly wasn't as much protection.  Now days every good deck is prepared for it.

I've found my next deck! but this still has nothing to do with purple, as they don't have spy or ahimaaz...

Or Rhoda. I find the best black/purple combos involve a quick punch to both eyes. Leaving then Black, Blue and purple.

Dont forget King zimri.  He does a good job of nuking the battlefield plus you can always play an Interupt after they give you initiative back.  If you get one that has an ITB card on it, be sure to play something that D/C EC and protects LS from capture like DoU or the one Babylonian one or Failed Objective.  They dont get initiative back to undo your mass nukeage of their EC's
