Title: Poison combo?
Post by: The M on September 16, 2010, 06:49:09 PM
Set your character aside with covenant of death or large tree etc.
play a poison enhancement on that same character.
decrease and increase that character 1/1 per turn. trash your opponents. :)

Set asides I don't think work. Large tree might though because he stays in territory.

I think most of the poisons say hero in play, but there are a few that don't.

if it doesn't say in play or set aside on it then it should default to in play. So you can't decrease a character out of play unless it says out of play. so you'd have to poison and increase then set aside...

Poisons/Diseases freeze in set aside as well, if memory serves.

I'm guessing he's referring to Chemosh? which means Large Tree might work, but none of the others.

nope. that sets them aside. you can't play both at once.

the problem here is that you cant set aside one character with two enhancements at the same time. At one time it was ruled that you could, say- provisions and gathering of angels at the same time. or large tree+chemosh. now, as soon as one activates the character is gone before the other one can target it.

large tree isn't setting them aside. that happens in territory. the question is whether it continues if he goes into set aside.

RULING!!
so large tree would increase them 1/1 in territory and chemosh or whatever decreases them in set-aside right?
