Angel w/ SN - Sam - Armorbearor - Ish - Jephthah for CBN Jep (and CP is negated to boot)
Angel w/ SN - Sam - Armorbearer - Ish - Barak (Deb in play) for CBN play-first (3 brigades in battle, and CBN Judges enhancements to boot)
Simeon (Wa) - Angel w/ SN - Moses (15/14 CBN band w/ FBTN, and if they take out Moses, you can still play Deb's Directive/other Gold Judges enhancements/etc. CBN on Simeon)

Could you explain why Moses doesn't get kicked out here? Is it because the exchange for him cannot be negated, even though the banding that allowed the exchange was negated?

Moses is added to battle via Angel's ability, not Simeon's. Moses cannot negate Angel's ability, so he stays in battle. CBN abilities stick.
If Simeon banded to, say, Aaron instead of Angel, then Aaron would be kicked out, but even in that case, Moses would stay in battle, because of the CBN.
