Title: If your 50-56 card T1 deck has Am Slave/FW/Scattered in it...

...Which most do, from what I've seen...  I see no logical reason not to include Nebuchadnezzar.  He can grab both FW and Scattered, and Am Slave + Nebby increases your chances of an early FW even more.

Maybe people are worried about Naz. With Slave you can at least play HP, but Neb is never going to get init to play Belshazzar's or something.

That being said, I've always been a nebby fan boy. I used to run Neb, Belshazzar's Banquet, and Leviathan in every deck before Disciples came out.

I play both Naz and Nebby in my current T1 deck.  Nebby is there for the early game impact - Scattered, FW, or Desecrate the Temple.  And I can choose to play Naz at anytime if I draw it early.

So...for about a year then?  ;)

I too would be worried about Nazareth, which makes Nebby a dead card 99% of the time. Since everyone seems to be using Naz nowadays, it might be hard for some to justify the slot.

I'd probably use him, but none of my primary T1 decks include any of those cards except FW. Of course, my primary T1 decks aren't exactly like most decks...

I don't use any search cards that don't serve some other purpose as well (Birth Foretold to protect Samson, A Slave to use Plot, etc), with the only exception being Golden Cherubim (which may end up cut as well). I use Nazareth now in pretty much every T1 deck I build, which means that, in most games I play, Nazareth is going to come out before a dedicated search card like Nebuchadnezzar, since most of my opponents are playing it as well.

I'm with Chris, when I build a deck, I try to avoid any search card that can't do anything else.  Even A Slave can still generate a soul if he can't search, but Neb is pretty much an entirely search card.
