i remember there used to be a combo involving hur, rain becomes dust, and a side-battle but i cant remember how it worked. does anyone remember how this worked? thanks
-
I don't believe it was ever legal. You may be thinking of the Damsel becomes Dust combo.
-
what is that? i remember a hur one but i never looked into it really, so it probably wasnt legal

Make your opponent block with damsel with the spirit of divination while you have "rain becomes dust" active. Wala.

...while having a good multi-color enhancement in hand. discard 8 from top.
-
So a muti colored enhancement counts as eight brigades?

If it's a rainbow enhancement (like Philosophy), yes it counts as all eight good brigades. If it's a dual-brigade enhancement then it counts as 2 brigades.

Hur and RBD don't work together, because Hur is an ability used by you making your opponent draw, and RBD specifies abilities used by opponents only. If you forced your opponent to use Hur in a side battle, you would be the one to draw cards, not your opponent. If you had RBD up and your opponent had Gifts, well, Gifts is optional, so he could discard the top seven cards of his deck if he wanted to...but unlikely.

thats what i thought, but i still remember hearing about it so i wanted to ask to make sure i wasnt missing something, thanks

It's probably a mix-up between the already-discussed combo and the D7 side-battle.

You could use Love at first sight to make them discard eight and there whole hand. Maybe a rescue attempt?

Well, you'd have to use Sent to Serve and have a way to protect your hand and then CtR/SideBattle with whoever has Love at First Sight placed on them. Too complicated to be any good.
