By game rule cards can only target LS if they specify LS (or all cards in a location) so it's not Burial v2 but definitely a lot of other possibilities. 8)

It was previously mentioned that R&D could serve as a Burial, but I think the targeting rules don’t allow it to target Lost Souls.
Correct--here is the quote from the REG section on Targeting

You place examining the scripture on a human evil character and then you play Rubble to discard said evil character
Ah, the image wasn't showing up for me at work. All I saw was hmm... and "discuss", so I was wondering if there was some sort of inside joke. I like that combo with examining the scripture though.
Also, you could run at least 3 in type 2 and convert evil characters to drought your opponent. Probably too many soul gen options now, but seems like something EmJayBee would jump on!

You'd probably run out of Evil Characters pretty quick there if droughting is your goal. :P
