Post by: Carl deuty on December 28, 2009, 11:56:07 PM
Is there such thing as a hand discard deck, and would this type of deck be competitive?

I don't know how much the game's changed, but one won Nationals 2008: http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=11930.0 (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=11930.0)

Hand discard is so fun because your opponent's hand is where he gets all his stuff from. ;D

I tried a 154 card hand discard deck about 6-8 months ago... it went 6-1, but probably would have timed out all the rounds it won except one or two.

I currently play an effective hand discard deck.  It is 11-2 in tournament play so it is a viable strategy...good luck.

Especially now that there are a couple more dominants that players will hold in their hand.   ;)
