What is a Gates of Samaria defense biggest weakness and some easy ways to get around it?
-
Not getting Gates early. Have a few search cards. If they have some protect from decrease card, Silas, you might also have some problems.
-
Also there is no way to protect it (that I know of) so if it is discarded you lose a large part of your defense.

Not getting Gates out early is a big problem, which can be mitigated by playing a 50 card deck and putting in searches like King Solomon, King Hiram, King Ahab, Table of Demons, Zaccheus, etc. It's tough to fit a Gates defense into a 50 card deck though.
Honestly, the biggest problem might be the lack of speed. Samaria sites + a slow defense just slogs the deck. The new King Jeroboam II can help, but his ability can be both prevented and interrupted. Wickedness Abounds could definitely help. And a fast offense with some of the searches above (Purple is a good choice) is very helpful.

I had a 57 card Gates of Samaria deck that used Zaccheus, King Ahab and Table of Demons. I pretty consistently got Gates by turn 3 or 4. If I didn't, then sometimes I would just go ahead and use the Samaria sites to try and stall my opponent.
I have not tried Gates with the new Kings, but I've seen others use it pretty effectively.
